Well... if Good Times is, then so is All In the Family and Maude.
Designing Women had a Soapbox on the set at all times, Its now a Drama too.

Well, that probably is the closest to a 1/2 drama yet considering the lack of laughs.

Originally posted by TV-aholic: Its not CSI or Grey's but does have a large, loyal following. And it is trending up in the ratings.
Its the best and most stable show they have (outside of the L&O franchise) so why not try to recapture the magic.

Well PP does about 30% worse than GA. For The Office 2 that would mean less than 6 million viewers. And that's pretty realistic. I mean not even a Friends spin-off with one of the actual characters managed to do good
I don't think you can directly say what the viewing level would be for any spin off based on what PP is doing in relationship to Grey's.
It could be worse or it could catch fire instantly.
In any case, at 6 million, it would do better than 30 Rock in its first season and what Scrubs will do this season (or last)

I've added a status update on the five new fall MyNetworkTV shows:
Full Season
NFL Network Total Access (MNT) - though ratings have been small, MNT guaranteed a full season commitment as part of its deal with the NFL.
Jail (MNT) - although there has been no formal announcement from the network, the initial 10 episode order finished airing in October; with new episodes 11-14 scheduled for November Sweep, I am technically interpreting this as MNT's first 'back-nine' pick-up.
Decision Pending
Decision House (MNT) - the initial 10 episode order completes cycle at the end of the November Sweep.
Celebrity Expose (MNT) - unknown episodes ordered, but with 9 original episodes scheduled to air through the end of the November Sweep.
Control Room Presents… (MNT) - unknown episodes ordered; removed from air after third airing, but still considered pending because the show remains listed on the network website.
NBC has a great talent of making stupid moves lately. I mean a Knight Rider remake??? Let's be serious. It's that still on after BW's horrible results. And what about removing Jay Leno from the Tonight Show? That's one of the few things actually work for NBC. We all talk about Ostroff here but what about Zucker?
