After Grant Show's Emmy-worthy performance on Swingtown, I'm sure he'll have better things to do.

Why is Fringe more popular than House is beyond me. Is Laurie more annoying for african-americns than for whites. I sure find him annoying as hell. He's a better actor than Caruso i agree but both step on my nerves
Two words.
Lance. Reddick.
Black folks dig The Wire. Also all white people with taste. Both of us.
The original Partridge Family was never that popular, I doubt they could figure a way to find an audience for this one.

Probably right, but how sad is it? To watch a show beacause of the race of the actors is disappointing
Not to revive our brief political debate yesterday, but just wanted to know if Mushu and Hawkeye still think the McCain camp expects Palin to clean Biden's clock in their debate?

The number of white people who watched The Best TV Drama EVER on HBO, which just happened to have a lot of black people in the cast--that was disappointing.
Black people being fans of an incredible actor on that show, who happens to be black, and following him to another show that is mostly white, where he has a pretty interesting role--seriously, do you ever read what you write?
You are actually calling black people racist for being bigger fans of Lance Reddick than Hugh Laurie?
I'm not black, and I watch Fringe, and I think Lance Reddick is probably the best actor on network TV right now. And the 'probably' is only due to the fact that they bring him out for about five minutes an ep. But he makes those five minutes count.
If it was just black people watching any show with prominent black characters, wouldn't they be watching House for the TWO black actors on that show?
I'm sorry, Lance Reddick is just Coolness Personified. Hugh Laurie is an amazing actor too, but you know what? The kvetchy misanthrope shtik is getting OLD.
And I'm saying that as a charter member of the kvetchy misanthrope demo.

Just because he's Mormon doesn't mean he's not black. Eldridge Cleaver became a Mormon. Believe it or not.
I would kind of like to know this too. Granted, I've never seen House, but I'm curious what happened. I really should just go back and watch the episodes.

Looking at the metered market ratings, it almost doesn't matter what movie is playing. Local market ratings will be based upon the local affiliates strength, not on the quality of the movie each network chose to air.

Geez, what century are YOU living in? You don't need to actually watch a show to know what happens in it. Observe while I type "House, mormon" into Google, obtain the character's name, then type "House, Jeffrey Cole" and hit search. Voila!
House fired him. Back to one black character. Who is actually pretty well written in the eps I've seen, and the actor is fine--but he's no Lance Reddick. And neither is Hugh Laurie, but I am still pleased to see kvetchy misanthropes represented on TV. These are my people.

I am particularly keen to see how MyNetworkTV's 'In the Army Now' starring Miss Lori Petty did on Saturday night across the metered markets. It got an above-average number in the Nielsen finals.
The ION movies do fluctuate a bit, depending on the strength of the title, though they rarely exceed the MyNetworkTV movies except in unique situations (titles / markets).

Sorry, I really should have done it myself. I had to run to class, but I could have done it when I got back. Thanks for the info!
