Wait till you next week like horse_horror said. SW and ITM are gonna Be DESTROYED. I can't wait to see it and laugh in excitment. Oh PLEASE PLEASE all you AMerican Idol fans tune in this Thursday at 8pm for AMerican Idol on FOX.
This is is gonna be sickeninnnnnnnnnnnnng!!!!!
If the comedies do better than a 2.1 in the demo, I would outright cancel Ugly Betty, syndication or not.

I think In The Motherhood looks pretty good. Its one of the few single-camera sitcoms that I would probably watch. I hope ABC is able to have a hit comedy again.

I'm not so sure. The concept seems really appealing to the ABC audience.
As for the comedies, if ITM and SW pull in the mid 2 demos at that timeslot, ABC should at least be content. At those demos, it would do better than UB in that timeslot.

That's basically what Miss/Guided did in the slot last year and it didn't survive.
Regardless of the other holes, the demos of UB is too low for it to be a long term player for ABC. It's barely getting a 2.0 in the demo. I agree with the other statement that UB should get a final 13 episodes to wrap up, just like Boston Legal this year.

That is true. However, with every news article leaked about ABC, it seems like they are really pushing for comedies (and comedy blocks). I think ABC will be a little more forgiving with the comedy numbers this year, especially since their dramas are declining.

Miss Guided wasnt going to survive from the first episode. It did good, but the retention out of Dancing with the Stars was bad. Then near the end of its run it was around a 1.5 demo.

It premiered at 10:30 and aired one time after DWTS and had its best demo rating. However, on Thursdays 8-9pm it died. If the new ABC comedies can stay above a range of 2.3 to 2.6 that would be good news. Anything less would be bad.

I believe it is. Smallville's been on the air too long. With Lex gone it's lost any momentum it had.
I've been truly surprised with the numbers Smallville has been putting up this year. I thought for sure it would tank, due to its age and departing cast members. Looks like it held up just long enough to make sure Reaper didn't get paired with Supernatural and earn a renewal for next year.

Originally posted by JimmyU: That's actually not too bad for Earl considering here's what the numbers looked like for its last new episode two weeks ago:

My Name is Earl (NBC) – 8 p.m. Viewers: 5.55 million (#4); A18-49: 2.2/ 6 (#3)
It will be interesting to see how Parks and Recreation alters NBC's Thursday Night lineup. (It can't do any worse than Kath and Kim.)
If Parks and Recreation does anything at all, I'd like to see it switch time-slots with Earl. Earl was a creative mess last year, but has mostly recovered this year. Obviously, it's never going to get the numbers it used to (what does), but I think it could have a small resurgence if it could get some old viewers to give it another chance.
