-Yesterday’s Winners: The U.S. Open (NBC) , NBA Finals, Game 5 (NBC)
-Yesterday’s Losers (Excluding Repeats): Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC)
----------
-Ratings Breakdown: Coverage of The U.S. Open gave NBC a boost, but ABC won this third Sunday in June as a result of game 5 of the NBA Finals, Lakers vs. the Celtics. ABC aired a combination of a repeat of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Jimmy Kimmel Live, NBA Countdown and the game five match-up. But since basketball in the Central Time Zone could be factored into the 8 p.m. hour, here are the results for ABC by half-hour:

A repeat of CBS granddaddy 60 Minutes opened the evening on a below-average note, with 7.29 million viewers (#2) and a 1.3/ 5 among adults 18-49 (#3) from 7-8 p.m. That led into The 62nd Annual Tony Awards at a typically bland 6.19 million viewers and a 1.1/ 3 among adults 18-49 from 8-11 p.m.

-Yesterday’s Losers (Excluding Repeats): Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC)
I know in Primtime, Jimmy Kimmel Live is not drawn big ratings, but I wonder if it will grab any new viewers to the regular Late Night version? It would be nice to see the show start averaging over 2 million per show.
I dont get why Jimmy Kimmel is being labled a loser when it is obviously getting higher ratings for its primetime specials than what it gets for its regular midnight time slot. I think abc is pretty happy with those numbers and if it can attract a couple more million to its reg time slot then I think it can only be labled a winner.
The U.S. Open on NBC soared, meanwhile, with 13.84 million viewers and a 3.9/13 among adults 18-49 from 7-9 p.m.
Despite a starting time of 12 noon today, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Playoff Round between Tiger and Rocco get at least 4-5 million on ESPN.
I doubt it. Maybe the NBC coverage of the back nine might get bigger numbers, but with most people at work and the winner already known the numbers aren't going to be big. Even last night's numbers (we'll have to wait for the finals) are disappointing
The CW should go with a trial run of theatricals on Sunday night and give the comedies a rest for a bit. It is too bad they can't just move the comedies to Friday now since Smackdown has to be there. But they could probably pull 1.5 million or so on Sunday which would be an improvement, and maybe even a bit higher if they find a couple that people would prefer to watch.

Yeah, how lame is it for a major sporting event to continue into the next day like this! That would be like NFL or NBA playing overtime the day after the champtionship game. I really enjoyed it yesterday, but I'm not gonna take off work to watch it. They should have sudden death like the Masters!

The question is why does Kimmel get labeled a loser while the Tony Awards does not. Jimmy had higher viewer total and a higher demo.
I mean, come on, the Tonys had a 1.1 demo rating. How is that not a loser? Ahh yes, it was on CBS. Now I get it...

What they should have done is put it on in prime time tonight. Start the coverage at 7 and go until 11. The ratings would have been great. With the golf being played in the west coast not sure why they did not take that option.

That would have been great! And it would easily outscore their regular lineup.
