American Juniors wouldn't be a disaster if it aired on Fridays. I believe when it aired on Fridays it averaged like 8 million viewers. Far from a flop, but Fox didn't extend it mostly because it would've hurt the Idol franchise. I think Fox will let American Band air all its eps out.

I think FOX would be doing cartwheels if the Great American Band got 8 million first time out. You are correct on the reasoning for canceling American Juniors. That's why I was surprised when they decided to green light this show. American Idol is already in a slump and by putting this on, people will get tired of singing shows when Idol goes back on, causing a decline in Idol's viewers. Not to mention there is absolutely no buzz on this show. Most wonder why it was even made. It might get some curious viewers first night out of the gate, but it's going to drop fast.

what about Tell Me You Love Me ??? I love that show, but some critics didnt like it and it wasnt recieved very well in posts, I really hope what you are saying is true, but I doubt it since it was getting less than 1 million viewers per week, and they cancelled john from cicinatti which was getting around 3 million +

They may push both, but it is really hard to get an emmy nomination now. The system is so weird. It is a combination of popular votes + tapes, and the popular vote is basically people voting for those they know and stars and series they watch. If not many people know of the cast of the shows, or watch it, it will rank low on the popular vote. Then...they would need to rank extremely high on the viewing vote to get the nomination. Not to easy.
I think that is where so many shows last season missed out on nominations. Friday Night Lights is a good example. Rumor has it that it did quite well on the viewing portion of the voting (voters watch the episodes and ranked it high), but it was nearly dead last on the popular vote. So..once those votes added in, NO nomination.
Then how in hell did 30 rock not only get nominated, but also win since almost nobody watches it, anyways sorry about my last post, as I kept on reading, my previous question was answered
U are absolutely right, but tell that to CBS. They cancelled Close to Home which was doing 10+ million viewers and 2.5 in demos beacause it skewed so old. If Moonlight stays at this levels it will be lucky to survive one season. But nothing more
As long as Moonluight stays ibn the 90% range for retention, it will stick around for a while.
Lets not forget it is a new show and still needs to find its audience.
C2H was a very expensive show to produce, and the advertisers were not willing to pay the ad rates necessary to cover the show's costs because it not only had low 18-49 demo numbers but it also didn't appeal to the more affluent and desirable demo specific groups.
How was C2H more expensive than any other drama? What is your source for this statement. I'm not disagreeing, but I don't see proof to support the statement
Fox's best performance there yet. 5th Grader remains a stable 8pm option but shouldn't be used on Fridays unless it is completely necessary. I actually think American Band, which Fox is promoting a lot may be competitive in the demo, but not so much in overall viewers.
I believe that 5th grader is only being used on Fridays until American Band is up and running.
now, with the quick demise of Nashville, it could comback, but that was not the original plan
I truely wonder how a new episode would do on this night. I tmight be the solution for the series and the Net for that time slot
