any thoughts on how the new NBC monday of DOND, My Dad is Better than Your Dad and Medium will perform?

DOND will probably do well at 8pm. However, My Dad is Better than Your Dad sounds like a dud to me. And with a dud as a lead-in, Medium probably won't be reaching too incredible numbers.

So yeah, not going to be NBC's night.

ABC has to drop that ridiculous Grey's/DH repeat combo on Friday. If they're going to air reruns, at least air like EM:HE or something that will pull a better number than a serialized drama.
There must be some political explanation for this. I wonder if Marc Cherry and Shonda Rimes demanded that their shows remain somewhere on the schedule during the regular season, or x% of the regular season, or for x weeks out of the year. (A contractual agreement, maybe? Otherwise, ABC would've already said, "Screw it, they're striking, so screw this stupid agreement and let's just air EMHE reruns" a few weeks ago.)

Or maybe somebody at ABC just has the crazy idea that viewers will completely forget that these shows exist unless they appear somewhere on the schedule in reruns, and won't return for new episodes. That doesn't make much sense, but who knows what they're thinking?

As for Women's Murder Club, I remind you again that it got terrible, atrocious, horrible, awful demos. Especially in adults 18-34. Whether we like it or not, ad rates are basically proportional to demo ratings. Advertisers don't care about household ratings and total viewer numbers. Any time they want viewers 55+, they can get 'em much more cheaply by advertising during The Price is Right or soaps or early-evening news programs or certain cable channels.

NBC takes a relatively good successful show like Las Vegas and Law and order and dump it on Fridays where it usually goes to die, but nbc puts Law and order back on wed and it does well. Las Vegas should move to another night.

I know that Las Vegas' move to Friday was due to the NFL not allowing them advertising for a show about gambling. My thought was Wednesday nights haven't done much lately. It probably could've withstood Idol enough to fill their 8pm hour on Wednesday the past two year. This is a similar situation to what happened to Third Watch, although that show was clearly ready to retire in the end. NBC also played scheduling games with Ed when it aired on Wednesday to low results then moved to Friday where it actually showed some promise followed by a return to Wednesday and then a move to Friday where it died. Zucker has been less than ideal when it comes to programming.

Unless we were expecting her to be pregno forever.

Not that I think anybody really cares, but I just watched this one again and looked at the production code. It WAS the first episode produced for the second season. Do shows shoot episodes out of order? Sure. Do they come back from hiatus and start work on their second seasons by shooting a series finale? I'm not aware of any that have, but maybe you guys can enlighten me.

"Underbelly" didn't finish their second season, anyway. Didn't film all of them... and ABC barely aired any of them.

"Better Off Ted," Wednesdays at some time or another at some point or another in the near future. Because we can't all live in mansions and not ever work like the people on "Modern Family."
