ABC really needed to clean house. Hopefully they release their mid-season schedule soon.

Not hearing anything new about PD (which, again, I think ABC will stay mum on until the last day they legally need to tell Bryan Fuller to prevent him from jumping ship to Heroes), though rumors out on that, too.
Also hearing Eli Stone cancellation rumors. ABC is cleaning house!

That's not enough. They need to fumigate.
Thanks for being such a RELIABLE source of information, Travis.

I think Bones will be ok on Thursday, but don't kid yourself: there is a lot more competition of Thursday than Wednesday. There is not one competing network that offers up a bigger threat to Bones on Wednesday than Thursday.
Good question. They were down quite a bit from the finals. My view of them is as before, with little competition GU and NAOOC have slight gains. However, the demos are still too low for both of them, especially NAOOC which is an established show.

I'm sorry to see DSM go, I really enjoyed it. They had a bunch of good storylines going. It was no Dallas or Dynasty but it was at least as good as the The Colbys (although I loved seeing Charlton Heston on TV). It must have been expensive with all those salaries (Donald Sutherland, etc... Too bad the ratings were so low. All 3 shows that I watch on ABC got cancelled but I'll miss DSM the most. I'll watch LOM when Lost comes back, maybe I should start taping it.
I wonder if NBC would consider Burn Notice for the network, it would be about the only show I watch on NBC if they did.

How is giving the night back to the affiliates any better than filling it with junk reruns like Drew Carey and Jericho? Either way, there is zero potential to build significant audience. How does it benefit the affiliates or the network to have that time back under affiliate control?
This was going to happen. MRC just didn't program the right shows on Sunday. However, Jericho reruns is an odd choice. I don't know what audience this is going to appeal to.

The CW will launch a new block including repeats of "Everybody Hates Chris" and "The Game" (launching with season one of both shows),"The Drew Carey Show" (beginning with season two), "Jericho" (starting with the first season) and then a movie. The CW plans to keep this programming lineup for the remainder of the season.
PP is getting hurt by having no lead in. It's been proven this year that lead ins matter, no matter how established the show is. I think after GA, PP will be in the low to mid 3s in the demos, which would be better than just about everything else they have attempted to place there.

Quality television took a serious hit this evening with news that ABC has opted not to order additional episodes of Pushing Daisies, Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money for this season. The network isn't commenting, but multiple sources confirm that all three shows have "effectively been canceled."
