I think you should go ahead and change your name from TheOCFan to The90210Fan before someone else takes it.
As for CW's fate, the entities behind it have very deep pockets, Warner Bros. probably just lost more money on Speed Racer than they did on CW all of last year. Expect all those hybrid cars on the CW shows to be replaced with Speed Race makegoods next Fall.
CW will not fold due to 'financial ruin'. The money envolved is a pitance of what these companies have as overall budgets.
I dont understand why fox would not want to keep Bones on Mon. nights now that it seems to finally be getting the numbers many people feel it deserves. Wed. nights seem like a very tough night to program, nothing seems to stick.

- The Bones Finale - The DWTS Finale - Daylight Savings Time
Next MAY I bet we'll see early season finales from this time slot, Say... 2nd Monday of sweeps?

Marc, also the bachelorette is not a finale -- but the debut of a new series -- as much as you would like it to be a finale of the whole franchise.
I completely agree with you on this. CBS needs to move the 8:00 comedies season finales earlier. The two of them got totally swallowed up by the DWTS and Bones finales.
Monday won't be the problem for CBS' comedies. Wednesday is going to be tough with the Bones/Pushing Daisies/Knight Rider (it will be competition for a while)/CBS comedy blocks. Out of all slots to expand, they pick Wednesday at 8, knowing full well Pushing Daisies and Knight Rider were standing in their way? I don't understand that.

With DWTS drawing 19 million, and Bones now over 10 million these two shows simply have no chance. There are simply not enough viewers left for them in the 8:00 hour. There were able to do well with just DWTS in the time slot, but with now two powerhouses in the time slot they simply have no chance. The better hope Bones stays on Wednesday next season.
Kudos to Bones for the nice upsurge as well as a shocking finale. I guess it's the time of year for ditching regular characters... Disappointing numbers for BBT and HIMYM. In the case of the former, I'm sure CBS execs are kicking themselves now for greenlighting a second season back in February. Should they have waited a little longer, they would have realized BBT's bubble has burst.
Great, by CW standards, numbers for OTH, and good for GG. Very good for Bones, House, CSIMiami. Bad numbers for BBT and HIMYM I can't believe how badly AG is doing. After all is the same show that was pulling (against an easier competition) 10 million viewers 3 months ago

By the way, just to set the record straight, BBT only dropped 400,000 viewers and .2 in the demo. It was HIMYM that dropped over 1 million viewers and .6 in the demo. For some ridiculous reason Marc puts BBT as disappointing, yet HIMYM is not even disappointing after that collosal drop.

Sure, but NBC already has their drama repeats penciled in on several other nights this week. The can't show Law&Order 7 nights a week, can they?

Good news is Rules of Engagement is still doing well and is in reserve. Bad news, how much of its ratings is becaue of its lead in?
50%+ of the RoE ratings are due to lead-in.

CW did very well. However, I don't know if its because of the shows or because the younger audience moved from DWTS and CBS comedies to the CW dramas.
I'm not sure what distinction you are attempting to make here.
First off... take it easy. Were just having a discussion. No need to get your undies in a bundle.
Second, Yes, DWTS was not on at 9pm, but it was the sitcoms that captured those viewers.
2.5 Men's bump was just at about a million viewers from last week, but Rules... jumped nearly 2 million viewers from last week.
Rules held on to about 83% of MENs viewers and about 90% of the demo.
Nice numbers to close out on.

It ended at 9:00 last night so Men got a bump from no DWTS on at 9:00, and ROE simply took its percentage of the Men audience, and also got a bump up. I mean, it is plain and simple, no DWTS so the 9:00 shows both got bump ups.

Bones will ultimately win the timeslot against that competition.
Next Monday will tell us all about AG's life. If it can grow to about 7 million next week, it should be OK for the summer. If it stays (with out regular competition) at the 3-4 million mark, it may be gone from Mondays before June.

We will never find out about Rules until it moves out of that 9:30 time slot. It is the only "protected" CBS sitcom. HIMYM was on at 8:00 in its second season, now BBT in its first season is in that horrible time slot. Old Christine was moved to 8:30 last season, and now has the horrible 8:00 time slot next season. Let's see Rules earn its keep, and stop taking whatever Men gives it, and then I will praise it. It is the only untested CBS sitcom.
And by the way, the reason Rules went up 2 million was because no SW this week, so it got the whole sitcom audience at 9:30.

Does anyone hav ethe half hour numbers for DwtS. I think they will reveal why there might be a 'colossal drop' for HIMYM.
If the all the fall schedules saty as is, BONES has a very good chance of winning the 8pm slot in the fall. That may be the weakest weekday time slot next season.
