No I don't.
Fringe is not a great show. Fringe's cancellation would be no huge loss to TV history. Fringe has a long way to go before it can be called a major hit, or even a really good TV series.
Well, it is obvious you haven't watched yesterday episode. House is as good as it has ever been, and shows no sign of decline. How many shows can say that in their 5th season?
It's a well-made series, and Laurie is certainly a fine actor, but he's quite obviously bored with the role, and FOX knows it.
quote:
Now, I understand that Hugh Laurie is quite a diva, and could jeopardize the future of the show. Still, the decision to move the series to 8pm was just silly.
Not compared to the decision to give SCC another chance to prove people are not that interested in a smallscreen Terminator.
FOX Leads A18-49s After Two Nights of Week 6; Seven Network Totals Up in Demo & Viewers Over Last Year
After two nights, FOX has jumped into an early lead for dominance in A18-49 leadership, with CBS second, ABC third and NBC just behind. In average viewership, ABC holds the lead and CBS is in second place.
In the year-over-yearlies, for the first time this season, the seven-network totals are trending up versus last year: up 7% year-over-year in A18-49s, and up 14% in viewers. In this era of DVR growth (up to 28% of HH vs. 19% last year), this growth pattern must be cause for celebration on Madison Avenue, and good tea leaves for the upcoming November Sweep.
Only ABC is trending negative on both demo and viewers. FOX, NBC, Univision, The CW and MyNetworkTV are all showing positive year-over-year growth, while CBS is trending up a bit in viewers while down a bit in demo (due to the Monday encores this year being compared to Monday originals last year).
Week 6, Average After 2 Nights (Mon-Tue)
# Network A18-49 (%YOY) Viewers (%YOY)
========================================
1. FOX 3.80 (+10%) 10.825 (+20%)
2. CBS 3.25 (-4%) 12.295 (+5%)
3. ABC 3.20 (-23%) 12.930 (-10%)
4. NBC 3.05 (+3%) 7.570 (+3%)
5. UNI 1.85 (+3%) 4.555 (+5%)
6. CW 1.48 (+39%) 2.906 (+23%)

Go ahead, FOX! Cancel Fringe! I command it!
It may take a few years for them to comply.
I give it two years tops. Sorry pisher. I've watched every episode and i'm still waiting for something that would make me think "it's gonna become a great show". Just plain boring so far
TM looks more promising, maybe it can become a great show but the only great episode was the pilot, unfortunately it gets worse with every episode. Plain boring as well

You're a nut pisher ( and I'm saying that in a teasing good way ) I enjoy both shows but had to make the decision on choosing one to record and watch now versus the one to get the DVD release and see it in its entirety and I chose TM to watch now ( Which I'll also get on DVD especially if it offers plenty of commentaries, bloopers, and sp forth ) since while I enjoy the scifi gimmacky appeal of Fringe I really enjoy the complexities of TM more and find it much more compelling to watch
Dumont those year to year comparisons are a comparison between the results of this week and the same week (first 2 days) of last season, a comparison betwen this week and last season's full averages, or a comparison between this week and last season's average untill 10/29/2007
90210's younger cast has definately gotten alot better. I think they are starting to find there footing without the help of the old cast members. However, I am still looking forwarded to see more Brenda and Kelly in the future, along with Jason Preisley's episode he will be directing later on. I am actually starting to like Adrianna a little bit, she and Navid are good together. Silver was awesome as usual, her and Dixon are cute. Overall, the show is getting better. Like the original it is taking a while to find its way, but could turn out to be almost as good as the original if it keeps up like this.

You know what's interesting for me is I ued to be an avid Unit fan and was mad when CBS stuck it on Sunday Night and put TM on in its timeslot but now really enjoy TM while coming thisclose to not watching The Unit - I cannot get into the Unit this season nor do I like the new girl on the show - go figure !

i Love Fringe, but I think that it becoming a moderate hit is causing House to lose half of it's ratings. Is no one concerned that house used to get in the high teens to over 20 million, now its at 12 million?
I guess ABC was right about cancelling Opportunity Knocks. The results show of dancing with the stars have improved in it's ratings.
Anyone else here affected by the CBS/CW == Time warner cable issue -- where they are in contract disputes -- anyone have any idea on how that is going and if we will ever get our CBS/CW channels back?

Thats not the point. The point is that when all you need is 900k people to get into the range of being a pretty good show for a network, its not that far off.

The cast has gotten better, but they are still nowhere near as good as the case of Gossip Girl, OTH, and even Privileged.
As for Adrianna, I dont understand why the actress who plays her is is on a tv show. She is not attractive, she cant act, and overall adds nothing to the show.
And, honestly, I think thats the main problem with the show. None of the main characters are very attractive, and they certainly dont stand out as actors. You look at teen shows and they all have attractive actors. GG has Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, etc.. OTH has Sophia Bush, Bethany Joy, etc.. Privileged has Joanna Garcia, the girl who plays Rose, etc...
90201 on the other hand has unattractive and anorexic lead actresses, Lori Laughlin and the lady who plays Naomi's mom (who is by far the most attractive girl on the show)...
