Seriously? 2 weeks? Ugh... At least it will be back during November Sweeps! I can't wait for the episode with Nathan Lane as Brad Garrett's brother.

It's about time. This show has never delivered the goods, with exception of the first few times it followed AI.

Games, Games, Games and.... More Games

We need your help. We need to get a couple of games up to 30 players, the November Sweeps Predicition game and the original PIFC. So, if you played the Daily game sometime this week, place an entry for both of these games. It will get us that much closer to getting up to date on the top 25 Market Ratings data. Please enter by 7:00am Friday Morning, ET.

The PI Feedback is becoming a place for games. Games about TV and the ratings.
Here are what we have available going into the November Sweeps.

The Daily Game: Each day we pick one show and you guess how many Total Viewers it will get and it's 18-49 demo rating. Accumulate Medals to see how well you can do with the other players.

The PI Feedback Challenge:
This game, you pick 5 shows, one from each network, that you will think will do the best over a 4 week period. Play more games and make a run for the PIFC Cup, a "season" long race for who does best in the PIFC. New Games debut on Thursdays/Fridays of each week.

The PI Feedback Challenge May Sweeps Game: An extention of the PI Feedback Challenge game. For the November Sweeps, there is a new twist. Each day you can bet up to 20 Berman Bucks, based on what you think the 18-49 ratings will be for the shows you select. The winner will be the person who has the most Berman Bucks at the end of the November Sweeps.

The November Sweeps Prediction Game: Predict the outcome of the 2008 November Sweep. Using a template, state your predicted viewer and A18-49 averages for each of the seven networks. As the Sweep progresses, check under last nights results for my nightly Sweep reporting to see how you are faring with your prediction. But Hurry to enter, The Deadline is 8:00am, Halloween Morning.

You'll have to. Updated info from FOX says it's out for all of November.

It did fine last fall but the hiatus and then the stupid decision by Fox to air the comedies at 8pm instead of after Idol at 9pm last spring gave them no chance at all.

Good scheduling ideas for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, mush. 'Kitchen Nightmares' did so good on Wednesdays last year, and it doesn't run the risk of overexposing the weakening 'House'.

I think the death knell for the unfunny 'Til Death' was heard this past Saturday night, when with a huge 'World Series' audience hovering around FOX waiting for the rain delay to end, all that 'Til Death' could accomplish was a measley 1.0 A18-49. 'Til Death' did more to drive rain-delay-watchers away from FOX, and over to ABC for college football or NBC for the 'SNL Thursday Weekend Update' encores. Once the rain delay ended, and 'Til Death' got pulled off, millions of viewers suddenly re-appeared.

'Til Death' died at a moment of need, and I don't expect that FOX will ever give it a serious shot on its schedule again.

Thanks dumont. I agree on Til Death's final straw being the World Series encores. I think the creative tinkering by Fox, an inconsistent timeslot/schedule, and now some downright stupid episodes this fall sunk this show. Its too bad too because at times last season it showed signs of creative brilliance before the net decide it and Back to You were too expensive so they just hacked up Til Death and brought it back with less than half the cast this fall. People often mention the neighbors being gone, but the teachers that Eddie worked with are also no longer around and the ex-wife for Kenny isn't funny at all and makes Joy seem like she has absolutely nothing to do.

I am a lover of traditional sitcoms, and watch most of them. However, I just could never get into TD. I watched the first 4 or 5 episodes, because I loved Brad Garrett on Everyone Loves Raymond. However, I just never really could watch this show. I just never liked it. I guess it has its fans, but this one was never for me.

Season one episodes were downright terrible. I tried it out season two when Back to You came around and found a show that (at least in the fall) was much much funnier than Back to You as that show tried to find itself. Come spring, they added Kenny and while he was really funny for a few eps, especially when he was his Big Brother, the storyline is just starting to get old now.

The second half of Season 1, the show was finding itself and the momentum was gaining thru Season 2. (But the show was off the schedule most of the season.) Adding Kenny was the show's Jump The Shark moment. They should have done a cross over episode with South Park and had Cartman kill him. The ratings would have been yuge. Another example of FOX messing with a good thing.

The only thing going for it to last an extra season was that Dumont did not like the show.

8:00 p.m. - Barack Obama Political Message
NBC: 6.7/11 (#1)
CBS: 6.1/10 (#2)
Fox: 5.0/ 8 (#3)

In total, that came to an impressive 17.8 rating/29 share in the 8 p.m. half-hour. Although ABC was hoping facing Barack Obama on three networks would benefit Pushing Daisies, the struggling drama could only muster a fourth-place 4.2/ 7 in the overnights. Comparably, that was down by 29 percent from one year earlier (5.9/10 on Oct. 31, 2007). Fifth overall in the 8 p.m. hour was America’s Next Top Model on the CW, with a 3.0/ 5 -- seven percent above the year-ago clips edition (2.8/ 5).

Honestly, it's one thing to ask Barack Obama to save the economy, save Democracy, or even save the world itself.

But asking him to save Pushing Daisies?

That's just not reasonable.

I mean, why not ask him to fly out into space and stop giant asteroids from crashing into us?

Maybe in his second term.

Big Grin

I know this is a year away, but I'm looking forward to it, and it might pair up nicely with 'Samantha Who?'. Any chance Matthew Perry could join the cast?
