I'm just shocked that the end of Grey's last season was still in the 20's. Was it the season finale or something?

So the next season is about the Oceanic Six (well, maybe just five) relocating The Island? That could be problematic. Will they simply flash between Jack & Co. and whoever's still alive on The Island? Will they still do flashbacks/forwards/sideways?
This is not the best show ever made, or anywhere near it. But it's probably the last network drama I'll ever care about. And I'm increasingly optimistic that the final finale will avoid being the total unmitigated disaster that most long-running arc genre shows end up with. Because they do have a complete story to tell here. Just not enough to fill all the episodes they had to fill. But I didn't see too much filler this time.
Wish I could say the same thing about BSG.
Wow, you should write a poem for Lost. I don't think they have any story right now, they're just trying to somehow get this show to an and in two years
Word. I've seen many reasons for why people watch Lost. But caring about it? Care about what? The plot holes?

The finale is next week, two hours (god, help us!) and incredibly predictable. More predictable than snow in the North Pole.
I meant last season - was it the season finale last season when it was in the 20's.

as a viewer of the show and as crazy as I sound saying this being she's the focal point of the show when I do watch I just want to scream at Merideth to get over herself. It's just become tiresome to watch every week.
I know! Meredith has become the most annoying character on network tv. I always found Pompeo's voice to be a turn off though, so I may be biased

They had the bare bones, they knew where they were going with it, but you must admit, it's no easy trick to write an outline when you don't know how many chapters you're supposed to fill--hell, they didn't even know how many VOLUMES. The show has improved a great deal since the endpoint was announced, but they still don't have enough story left, so they do have to tread water a fair bit.
You just didn't understand what the show was about. The same thing happened with Twin Peaks--people started tuning out before it started to break down, because they felt cheated when it turned out there were paranormal things happening, and it wasn't just a murder mystery. But c'mon--anybody who didn't know that after the first three episodes was just not paying attention.
Again, I don't consider it anything close to the best show ever. But with The Wire having concluded, it's the best drama in production right now. And I fully expect this to be the last time I ever say that about a network drama.

They have a story, it just doesn't make any sense since the group was artificially divided at the start of the season. Now people are getting in and out of the island every episode. How do they plan to keep this show going two more years?
About the ratings, it is interesting to see Lost fans happy with numbers falling to levels similar to Heroes.
Oh well, the season finale should be good as usual, since that is the only thing this show can do well now.

I used to watch Grey's every week but the past year has been a disaster. The loss of both Kate Walsh and Isaiah Washington (even though I didn't like his public persona)from the cast was detrimental and the storylines have become ridiculous. I don't care about Meredith, but Sandra Oh used to be awesome. Now she's mopey as Christina. I could go on, but it's too bad to see the show drop like this.
I agree that the game shows on Thursday are losing loads of ratings for FOX. History can only be used as an excuse for so long. If we are using history as a reason to exempt shows from the losers list, then Don't Forget the Lyrics will always be a winner when it moves to Fridays next fall as it's sure to do better than the demo disaster, now cancelled Canterbury's Law Fridays at 9.

Maybe they have a story but it's a messy one. I think the whole season was wrongfully planned. Last season's ending left the door open for a great fourth season, that's why i kept watching the show. But i'm not happy at all with the direction this show has taken. But it's not the writer's mission to make me happy

I've no end of problems with Lost, but that complaint makes no sense to me. What would have constituted an organic division of the group?

Actually, that was happening all along, but we (and the crash survivors) didn't know it.

I wonder that too, but for the record, it's not two full seasons. Personally, I think BSG started to lose steam when it went to the full season format. The writers and the ideas get stretched too thin.

And how happy are you with BSG ratings falling to levels similar to MyNetwork?

Agreed, they always end better than they start, but they didn't start as lamely as they usually do.

But do let them know if you are, so they can make up a huge banner to drape over the tower of an aircraft carrier--hey, there could be one next season. You never know.
