I gave up arguing about the stupid winners/losers list a long time ago. Just know the "rules":

FOX: almost impossible for a show to be a loser because for some reason Marc still judges them like they are a "4th network" when they are obviously one of the big boys. When in doubt he uses the year to year reasoning, which for some reason is never used for any of the other networks.

CBS: Very easy for a CBS show to be a winner. usual weak 18-49 ratings don't matter. Year to year erosion does not matter.

ABC: If Marc is a fan of an ABC show it is always a winner, regardless of retention or the rating itself. If he is not a fan this is the network he is mostly straight on with.

NBC: Marc hates NBC, so it is almost impossible to be a winner (granted NBC does not have many real winners) and even with a solid 18-49 rating, it is very easy for an NBC show to be a loser. He even creates new categories for NBC just to avoid making a show listed as a winner.

Thanks Holly.
It's good when characters get an interesting send off.

Supernatural on the CW (Viewers: 2.93 million; A18-49: 1.2/ 3).

Well, it's nice to see that SPN's amazing finale garnered more viewers than the past 3 episodes were able to do. It sure would be nice if the final numbers would bring it up over 3 million to close out the season. It is certainly going to be long summer for SPN fans.

And let me take this opportunity to thank you, Marc, for this wonderful and informative forum. It's been too long since I did that.

I'm really glad Supernatural scored a bigger number for this season finale than last years! If only the CW would show more than a promo per week, Supernatural could be a good show for them! The episode was great too.

No goodbye speech. If this is my last day on Earth, I don't want it to be socially awkward. Big Grin
You gotta love Dean!

I've really enjoyed this half-season of Lost, although they started off badly, as they usually do.

So the next season is about the Oceanic Six (well, maybe just five) relocating The Island? That could be problematic. Will they simply flash between Jack & Co. and whoever's still alive on The Island? Will they still do flashbacks/forwards/sideways?

This is not the best show ever made, or anywhere near it. But it's probably the last network drama I'll ever care about. And I'm increasingly optimistic that the final finale will avoid being the total unmitigated disaster that most long-running arc genre shows end up with. Because they do have a complete story to tell here. Just not enough to fill all the episodes they had to fill. But I didn't see too much filler this time.

Wish I could say the same thing about BSG. Frowner

It's that 7.3 mil drop from one year ago that should trouble ABC. Maybe it's time to rethink the sked, and for the show bosses - perhaps it's time to clean house.

Too bad that Supernatural couldn't crack 3 million. But nice to see nearly an 8% increase over the year ago. Also nice that this will will keep it the 2nc highest sripted show on the CW (yeah thats impressive). Nice to see it also out performed itself over the last month.

I'm just shocked that the end of Grey's last season was still in the 20's. Was it the season finale or something?

The finale is next week, two hours (god, help us!) and incredibly predictable. More predictable than snow in the North Pole.

Love TV? Love Games?
The PI Feedback Challenge brings the two together.

Each Week is a different game and each game lasts 4 weeks. All you do is pick FIVE (5) shows, one from each network while using only ONE of the following 4 methods of picking your roster of 5 shows. Just try to pick the shows that'll rank the highest in each of the next 4 weeks.

To tie the games together, we set up the PIFC Cup. Similar to the NASCAR Nextel Cup, you earn points from each game over a "season". There are 3 seasons each year. We are currently playing the 2008 Winter Spring Cup.

Come join us and play the 78th game of the PIFC. Just click the logo or CLICK HERE to start playing.

Wow, you should write a poem for Lost. I don't think they have any story right now, they're just trying to somehow get this show to an and in two years

as a viewer of the show and as crazy as I sound saying this being she's the focal point of the show when I do watch I just want to scream at Merideth to get over herself. It's just become tiresome to watch every week.

WONDERFUL news for SN! great finale. SV - I was expecting more action. There has been way too much focus on Cloe and Jimmy - just seems like Clark is the supporting character now.
