The listing of winners and losers are subject to change after the fast affiliate ratings are posted at PIFeedback.
-Yesterday’s Winners: Dancing With the Stars (ABC), Two and a Half Men (CBS), CSI: Miami (CBS)
-Honorable Mention: Samantha Who? (ABC)
-Yesterday’s Losers (excluding repeats): Everybody Hates Chris (CW), Aliens in America (CW), Girlfriends (CW), Journeyman (NBC)
----------
-Ratings Breakdown: ABC danced its way to overnight Monday victory, with its combination of an expanded edition of Dancing With the Stars (one hour and 45-minutes), Samantha Who? and The Bachelor. But keep in mind that all program ratings for ABC are approximate due to the extended DWTS. Next was CBS, followed by NBC, Fox and the CW. While I understand that the strength of NBC’s Heroes falls in the young adult demographics (adults 18-49, in particular), year-to-year the drama was down by a significant 36 percent in the metered markets.
Dancing with the Stars took the 8 p.m. hour with ease, at a 13.4 rating/20 share. Comparably, that more than doubled the No. 2 occupant, CBS’ How I Met Your Mother (6.0/ 9) and The Big Bang Theory (6.2/ 9). The good news for CBS was growth in the metered markets from one year earlier of seven percent for How I Met Your Mother and 19 percent for The Big Bang Theory (versus former occupant The Class).
Also in the 8 p.m. hour was NBC’s Chuck and Fox’s Prison Break, each with a 4.7/ 7 in the overnights, and CW comedies Everybody Hates Chris (2.4/ 4) and failing Aliens in America (1.8/ 3).
ABC remained in the winner’s circle in the 9 p.m. hour care of the final 45-minutes of Dancing With the Stars (13.8/19) and the first 15-minutes of Samantha Who? (9.0/13). Overall, DWTS averaged a hefty 13.5/19 from 8-9:45 p.m. As to who is leaving tonight, although it should be Jane Seymour, my pick is Cameron Mathison.
Second from 9-10 p.m. were CBS sitcoms Two and a Half Men (9.1/13) and Rules of Engagement (7.2/10), followed by NBC’s below average Heroes (6.2/ 9), a second episode of Fox’s Prison Break (4.8/ 7), and the CW’s Girlfriends (2.4/ 3) and The Game (2.6/ 4). As I say every week, growth for The Game out of Girlfriends (eight percent this week) keeps it off the list of losers. As for Two and a Half Men, am I the only one bored with Charlie’s constant sexual encounters? Just how realistic is this?
CBS moved into the winner’s circle at 10 p.m., with veteran CSI: Miami at a 10.6/17. Second was ABC’s combination of the last 15-minutes of Samantha Who? (8.0/12) and an abbreviated edition of The Bachelor (6.0/10), followed by NBC’s failing Journeyman at a series-low 3.8/ 6. Yes…the cancellation clock is ticking! Overall, Samantha Who? averaged an 8.5/13 from 9:45-10:15 p.m.
I think the people who made Journeyman would probably have done better getting all their money upfront--though I guess they'll get a bit of money when it eventually reairs on the SciFi Channel for a few months. Then disappears without a trace.

You're damn straight. I recorded it last night not knowing that it was going to be screwed up the much. Now I read that it didn't start till 9;45?! So I must have only half the episode. Does ABC offer an online version?
So what does this strike mean for shows "on the bubble" (Journeyman, K-Ville, Life etc.)?
I'm expecting the strike to last awhile which would mean that they wouldn't be able to have a back nine ordered. Would they be canceled as soon as the net's burn off the episodes that have been produced?

Maybe it would have done better if they didn't confine JOURNEYMAN's travels to the recent past. A couple episode of him showing up in the distant past say for the Gold Rush of 49 or something might have appealed to the HEROES sci fi audience. Part of the fun of time travel shows is seeing differnt periods...having him go to the 1990's isn't too exciting and the audience caught on. I've got 3 episodes now that I haven't watched.

I'm still old school using a VCR which they'll have to pry the remote out of my cold dead hand before I give it up.
I`m happy to see Prison Break`s ratings remain constant despite all those hiatus and Sara`s death. Besides, I thought it would go down at 9pm for the second episode but kept going. Anyway last night episodes were quality. Did not watch Heroes this time, but the ratings are still going down...sub 10 million now. Nbc is really having some hard time.

PRISON BREAK is an excellent show and I hope the female spin off comes to fruition.
HEROES...what they should have done was ignor the whole HEROES ORIGINS idea and create a spin off and relocated some of the characters to the second show as I believe a big complaint this season is two many new characters that there is not enough room for all the storylines and you wind up with MIA characters or short, short scenes before hopscotching to the next short scene ect...
