Could someone explain this to me? It just seemed randomly posted but it has to be wrong even as an estimate. In the 1976/77 season there were basically three choices for TV programming, ABC, CBS and NBC. I mean MASH's farewell (1983) had over 125 million viewers. Dallas's Who Shot JR (1980) episode got a 53.3 rating and a 76 share! That's absolutely unheard of today.
Of course by the start of the 1990s network TV was down to 55% of the market and kept dropping, but back in the 1970 it belonged to the Big 3 networks. So what gives with this post?
Please lay off the canadian jokes. They're either based on lies, unfunny or exagerated. You can do better.
Not-amusedly yours, metal
Yeah, it's such a total slur on Canadians to say how nice and polite they are. Oh, and to have them represented by Cobie Smulders.
C'mon, lighten up. What's your problem? Have there been a lot of blackouts in your area lately?
I wasn't being serious at all. I'm not a serious person in general, much less about stupid jokes and forums conversations. Call me a bitch, see if I care.
I totally didn't mean it as an insult to the show either. I always watch it, but Barney is the only character who makes me laugh recently. I only made an observation, that there's SO many stupid jokes about Canada that aren't funny to me and lately I just roll my eyes. I just want the writers to be more creative with the jokes instead of it always being the same thing.
And I don't live in Canada. I live in Manhattan. And yes, there are some blackouts that freak me out. Cause Robin is right, nobody likes them, which makes the stereotypical jokes not funny.

I agree. There is no shopping this show elsewhere. It's done. They were told they were cancelled on November 11 and didn't finish shooting until Thanksgiving week. John Eisendrath and Jason Smilovic pretty much gave the audience the finger, because it's not like they didn't have time to rewrite the ending into something more final. Maybe they weren't even expecting the episode to air...

Hmm..an article I was reading made it seem like they had wrapped the filming of the final episode. Sorry for my misunderstanding. Do you think MOWE's producers did the cliffhanger in the hopes they could shop the show elsewhere? It doesn't make all that much sense the way they did it if they did have advance notice. Hey, a girl can hope. LOL
