CBS has a problem with WW. Retention out of 2AAHM is a problem. However, it's numbers by itself is decent. It pulls 10 million plus right now. That's now a number you want to let go or even worse let a network like NBC pick up and add to their lineup.
I might be alone, but I find it a struggle to sit through House now. If I am not alone, the Monday night move could be a strain on the show. I am not a fan of procedural shows so the weekly medical mystery aspect got old for me quick, but the strength of the characters kept me coming back. Now that seems played out too. I think Big Bang Theory could end hurting House, not the other way around. Which would be ironic -- a CBS show HURTING what is essentially a procedural mystery, albeit with diseases rather than crimes.

Even though I think House will be strong, it will not be as strong as it has been on Tuesday. You would be amazed how loyal a fan base the CBS sitcoms have built. They are about as big a buzz in the TV forums as they have been in the ratings.

Yup, Survivor is no DWTS, Survivor has far fewer viewers and about the same (or higher) demos.

I really think it would be an excellent Thursday 8pm option. Bones isn't all that strong. Ugly Betty is very female and Survivor is no Dancing with the Stars.

What is going to do get killed though is Chuck, which in my opinion should be moved to Thursdays in place of dying Earl and the atrocious Kath and Kim. Heroes should get moved as well.

DWtS BBT/HIMYM Chuck
My Hope is that DWtS takes the hit so Chuck and the comedies can continue to grow.
I really have no idea what CBS will do with WW. When you look at its numbers in a generic sense they are fine. Almost every show on TV would kill for 12 million viewers and a 3.6 demo, but when you look at it in a realistic sense its numbers are really bad for that time slot.
With the other three sitcoms booming, and improving their time slots from last year about 30% that time slot is way down. I bet if ROE was in that time slot last night it would have gotten almost a 5 demo. I know someone at CBS loves WW, but its numbers are good only on paper. In reality those numbers are really bad for that time slot, especially when the other three sitcoms are exploding over last year in their time slots.

I guess one thing they could try is a special airing of WW on Wednesdays in place of Christine or GU. If it does better than the typical Christine/GU, then it has potential. If it does worse, then CBS has no choice but to dump it.

Good idea. I bet it does worse. Any little success it has had has been strictly because of the time slot. I think it dies anywhere else on the CBS schedule.

Comments like this always strike me as funny. For starters, the vast majority of series when canceled by a network are just that - canceled. They are not picked up. If a series does move to another network, it is often due for financial reasons. "Scrubs" is getting an eighth season this year on ABC not because it is so popular with viewers but because it is produced by ABC Studios and more episodes will mean more money in syndication (also a reason why "According to Jim" is still around). "WWE Smackdown" was canceled by CW because the network reportedly did not like the new financial arrangement that the WWE wanted, so it moved to My Network TV.
Although the 12.1 million viewers who tuned into "Worst Week" last night would easily surpass the viewers pulled in by any of the current NBC comedies, but "Week" is a typical time slot hit. If CBS were to air this series outside of a protected time slot its ratings would likely free fall. Although one can never really guess what the idiots in charge of NBC will do, but I would doubt the network would have any appetite for picking up "Week" if it were canceled by CBS.
There is a glaring fact from last night regarding the network viewers. Although "Big Bang Theory" and "How I Met Your Mother" were CBS's lowest rated series last night - pulling in a paltry 11.4 million viewers - they were watched by more people than any of the other programs on the other broadcast nets. You know a network is successful when your lowest rated offerings would be the highest rated series on any of your competitors.
