No way will SCC do only 7-8 tonight. You actually expect it to drop 50 percent of the audience. I am in no way expecting 18mil, but at the very least, 10 or 11.
I was not expecting "Comanche Moon" to blow 2 million viewers over the course of 2 hours. The original "Lonesome Dove" was CBS' savior in a year when they were thoroughly in the Nielsen toilet and practically all their new shows flopped miserably. (It topped the ratings for the week with all 4 parts doing 30-40 shares.) Obviously, a lot of those viewers are still interested. They just weren't interested in what they got this time around.
-- "Better Off Ted," Wednesdays at some time or another at some point or another in the near future. Because we can't all live in mansions and not ever work like the people on "Modern Family."
It was interesting to see how many people listed sara conner in the primetime schedule thread. As bad as some of the reviews may have been, it is telling that a high percentage have it in thier viewing list.

Yeh, it'll probably drop a million or 2 tonight, but there's no way its going to pull a BW. This show is atleast decent (AWESOME in my opinion), we all know how bad BW was. I think SCC will settle in the 16 million range.
FOX has finally found another winner!
It got a lead-in twice as big as the second biggest lead-in for a premiere this season. FACT
how many people actually watched SCC vs left the tv on after the game and hung out with family/friends that may have been over for the game?

No matter what you think, this is principally because its lead-in was by far the biggest of any premiere this season. FACT.

And another million or 5 over the next few weeks.....

Certainly not--BW improved on its premiere lead-in, and beat the premiere of Private Practice in the demo, and SCC sure didn't manage that.

Awesomely dull in mine.

I seem to recall saying how bad BW was back when it premiered, and a lot of people telling me in response how awesome it was, and how incredible its ratings were, and how it would never be canceled.

16mil viewers a week? Every week? That's what you call SETTLING?

It got a lead-in twince as big as the second beiggest lead-in for a premiere this season. FACT
With that lead-in even VL would've done OK
Don't go overboard now.
VL would have still been lucky to get 10 million, with a NFL Football Lead in. I doubt there would be a lot of crossover in audiences.
I'm not at all excited about Terminator:SCC which is strange because this is exactly the kind of show that I would like. Trying to stop skynet storyline has been played over and over and imo has run its course. This show just feels like T3 all over again with a a younger John. Why can't they just have a show that takes place after the events of T3 with a war between humans and the machines which most fans want to see.

Because that would cost too much to make.
They'll just do that as a comic book, or a graphic novel. Or did they already?

I don't agree, but we'll never know. IMO with a 40 million leadin VL would've gotten 15 million at least for the premiere

You really think so? Even if it did, it would of lost around 3/4 of its audience by the second half hour.
SCC starting off with 8.1, and ending with a 7.1 isn't too bad. Looks like 7 out of every 8 people liked what they saw.
We'll see who's right when the numbers come out tomorow.
I see SCC at 15/16 million.

Of course, there may have been a few Cowboys fans leave their house, after the game, and didn't turn off the TV.
Really, you can't come up with any better negative spin than that??? We do expect better from you vlis.
