CHUCK doing better than last week I would attribute to the lack of PRISON BREAK. Freaking baseball! I still have a grudge of how FOX baseball preemptions KILLED the momentum for REUNION and led to its ultimate cancellation.

Reunion wasn't doing very well in the first place. I do miss it and the OC though. and really, at least give us a proper ending! it's just 7 more eps on top of the 13!

By that measure, most of the networks are failing most of the time.
Dancing With the Stars was the most-watched show of the evening, with a hefty 19.19 million viewers and a 4.6 rating/11 share among adults 18-49 from 8-9:30 p.m. Start packing, Mark Cuban! That led into the premiere of sitcom Samantha Who?, which opened first in total viewers (14.92 million) and second behind NBC’s Heroes among adults 18-49 (4.5/10) at 9:30 p.m.
Didn't DWtS go a couple of minutes into the 9:30 half hour???
If so, that will bring doen Sam Who's numbers, but still a good start.
Was watching and it definitely went over 9:30pm. I'm thinking more than 1 minute.
And i just checked Justin's skeds for last nite and it showed SAM as premiering at 9:32pm.
That'll be the last time I quote myself.

Was this good? I forgot to watch it. Do you guys think "Dancing with the D-Listers" viewers actually sought it out, or you suppose they just didn't remember to turn off the TV once "D-Listers" ended?

Over at NBC, it looks like Chuck has settled in, with 8.23 million viewers (#2) and a 3.2/ 9 among adults 18-49 (#2t) from 8-9 p.m.
Looks like Chuck has taken Viagra. Big rise from last week.

It's a sleeper!

I have to agree that part of Chuck's increase was the fact that FOX aired baseball instead of Prison Break. People who tuned in and didn't want to watch sports, started sampling other shows. I think it will settle back down again next week when Prison Break comes back.
I don't think Reunion would have made it, with or without baseball. It just wasn't doing well in the ratings. I do agree that they should have aired a conclusion to the show instead of wimping out and cancelling it on the spot.

the more I look at the 2007 numbers the more clear it becomes that new standards of what is a hit and what is a miss seem to be in play.
Heroes is a hit at 11M and just about every year prior to this year and 11M viewer show would be canceled or a bubble show.
We may not finish the season with one scripted show over 20M and will only have a handful over 15M..
It's a new age..... I think the networks will be VERY careful about cutting shows. If you can get a steady 8M for Journeyman ( live plus DVR ) you have to think how much better can things get?
In 2007/2008 do you scrap 8-10M shows to try new ones? or do you say we have a new measure for shows...
Heroes is an amazing show no matter what you haters say about it. At least there are some answers in every episode unlike Lost, and there is actually "a" bad guy aka sylar unlike Lost. Every character is unique and has his or her unique ability. There are also more meanings in every abiliy. That's why it's mystery is very ineteresting, and you haters just hate it because of your shallow thinking, no offense though (A) :P.
