I'm actually a bit shocked at BB's numbers...but Dan/Memphis has been the best F2 in quite a while, I agree. It's going to come down to the jury questioning (and Dan has one important thing he needs to do- tell Memphis about taking Michelle on the trip before then. If Memphis is blindsided by this during the questioning- and the jury does know about it so it'll likely come up- some of the jury might have second thoughts perhaps..)
It's going to be close either way... More than likely 4-3, but a 5-2 vote isn't unreasonable. One big hint will be the order in which Julie calls the jury to cast their votes. If Michelle is LAST to cast her vote (and thus, the last vote revealed), it means the vote ended up 4-3, and they'll hype the "Did Dan convince Michelle on the trip?" angle for the deciding vote....
BB10: What a solid performance. I believe had CBS given us interesting people like they did this past season instead of the trash we got last spring, that those numbers would've been a lot higher.
Flashpoint: Still very older skewing but good summer filler even if it sounds like watching paint dry week after week.
Kitchen Nightmares: The DVD recorder didn't record properly last night so I'll have to catch it online later but those growth numbers out of its lead in aren't too shabby. I think this will once again be good counter programming for Fox on Thursdays. Too bad the lead in is a dud.
AGT: Very older skewing but I stand by that in NBC's position, this should be a fall series.

I don't know if I'm the first to state this but aren't Big Brother 10's Dan Gheesling and The Office's Ryan Howard (played by B.J. Novak) twins? Maybe Dan should do a guest appearance on The Office and date Ryan's ex, Kelly Kapoor!

HUT Levels Return & CBS is King with BB10, CSI R, and Flashpoint
I'm going to start making my own winners and losers lists since its getting close to the fall season.
My Winners: BB10, CSI R, Flashpoint, Got Talent, Kitchen Nightmares
Solid: Hole in the Wall (FOX)
My Yesterday's Losers: NBC Comedy Night Done Wrong
It felt good not seeing any ratings let downs like I saw the last few nights.
Got Talent is slowly becoming one of my favorite shows and their results show is alot more better than other ones. The demo was kind of low, but this is an older skewing show, but the viewers were still huge enough on a night where it doesn't regularly air and at low hut level 8pm.
The NBC comedies are an embarrassment to NBC's Must See TV lineup of yesteryear and I can't believe NBC has held onto this long. Earl seems to be pretty dead, 30 Rock will never work, Kath & Kim will disappoint, and The Office is solid, but not for everybody. That 10pm timeslot has always maintained 7 million viewers or more until they started putting their comedy reruns there.
Congrads to CBS on getting a season high for BB10 and series high for Flashpoint. I watched both shows live last night well BB10 after Got Talent and I loved the show for the first time since Ollie and Michelle left. It was good to see the entertainers in that jury house like Renny, Libra, April, Ollie, and Michelle who were voted off way too early. I like Dan way more than Memphis so I'm hoping Dan wins. Memphis has done some bogus things like getting rid of his friend Keesha last night. That was real shady. At least Dan plays the game right and is loyal to his friends as well. That 8 million viewer number has more to do with Dan than it does Memphis. I've been with Dan since week 2, but I faded from him the last two weeks b/c I thought he exposed Ollie and Michelle very badly, but it was actually Memphis who caused that to happen.
Flashpoint, is one of the best procedurals right now. This Canadian show is good and if you say its predictable than you haven't been watching the show. The chemistry on the show has gotten better every week and the characters are starting to take shape now. Huge 9 million number for Flashpoint and it seems like FP has been suffering from the lower hut levels of the summer and could easily get 10+ million viewers when it returns in mid-season.
For FOX, I wouldn't call KN a winner b/c if you do that then PB, T:SCC, and Til' Death all should be winners too. Remember 2.5 is like a 3.0 this season with DVR up over last year. Congrads to KN anyways as it got back to its average from last year. I think as long as FOX is patient with their shows they'll grow like KN. I applaud KN for growing week to week.
Hole in the Wall, let me say this is far from a loser, more on the surprising list. It cracked 5 million viewers surprisingly on its own against Got Talent and a high rated BB10. If it can average 5 million viewers against tough competition with a decent demo number then this will be good enough for another pickup.
Other Notes: Monday Night Football did affect all male shows as MIN-GB got 14 million viewers and a 6 in the demo. Also The Secret Life of the American Teen scored higher than 90210 in all demos and viewership so with 90210 getting the Chicago market for the first time expect a bigger rating for 90210 next week.
I've really enjoyed reading all of your guys ratings analysis especially BlueLick's. Its always detailed and covers all of last night's highlights.
Hole in the Wall getting over 5 million surprised me and BB good job and I agree Flashpoint is a way better show right now. NBC comedies are an embarrassment to the sitcom lineup.

Isn't this Marc's place to be writing a column here ? It is one thing to comment on the ratings, but another thing to be a participant and be writing a daily column here. I just think it is inappropriate to be writing whole analysis columns here.

I don't see anything wrong with it. Most people offer their own thoughts on the ratings. This is just in a different style. I enjoy reading it, along with the comments of others.

Yeah, people comment. They don't write their own daily column here. That is Marc's job, and he does it quite well. I don't think we need a guy from Canada writing a daily column here. Some of the stuff he writes I don't even agree with, no less. However, that is not the point. It is just not the format here. People don't write their own columns. They comment on the ratings.
Out of the seasons that I watched, this is the best final 2 ever! I want Dan to win, but I won't be sad if Memphis wins it either.
BB2 - Will/Nicole ... I didn't like Nicole BB6 - Maggie/Ivette ... hated them both BB7 - Boogie/Erica.. didn't like Erica.. ultimate floater BB8 - Donatos.. hated them both BB9 - Ryan/Adam... didn't like them very much

Marc does a great job with the ratings and his analysis, which the main reason why I take the time to comment on them from time to time. His columns will always matter the most and nothing is going to change that.
Taking a shot at a guy because he is from Canada is low on your part.
I'd view Hole In The Wall as a loser. The ratings and demos are both way too low and when competition comes in, this show is going to get lost.
I also don't think KN is a winner. The viewership numbers are just marginal. Demos are better but not spectacular. If Mondays, Wednesdays 9 to 10 and Thursdays 8 to 9 weren't such a disaster, the focus would be on the disappointing KN.
Flashpoint will definately come back. I've said before that it'll be back on Fridays 9 PM before November and I still think that's the case.

I love Canadians. I have relatives who live in Canada. It is nothing personal against Canadian people. However, it doesn't mean that they are experts on American TV. I happen to think a lot of his analysis is totally wrong. Could any Americans here be writing expert daily columns on Canadian TV with full accuracy ? I don't think so.
