They could schedule old Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? repeats and pull in 5-6 million viewers easily, which is a huge step up from what they're doing now. And a constant reminder - they still have Kitchen Nightmares episodes in the can, which could do well. What I dont want to see them do is airing double shots of the comedies - they'd be better off just airing Dollhouse.
Sarah Shahi has landed the lead in USA Network's pilot "Facing Kate," lifting the contingency off the project.
The pilot, produced by Universal Cable Prods., centers on Kate (Shahi), a divorced San Francisco woman who leaves her job as a lawyer to become a mediator.
EXCLUSIVE: FOX TO BENCH FRIDAY SWEEPS LINEUP FOR REPEATS

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Less than a week after announcing its November sweeps schedule (read the story), FOX is already making some changes.
Network sources have confirmed Friday entries "Brothers," "'Til Death" and "Dollhouse" will all go on hiatus after their October 23 airings. A rebroadcast of "House's" two-hour season premiere will sub in for the night on October 30 with additional repeats of "House" and "Bones" taking over for the rest of the month.
"Dollhouse" will then return with back-to-back originals starting at 8:00/7:00c on December 4, 11 and 18.
As for the comedies, "Brothers" will permanently shift to Sundays at 7:00/6:00c starting November 8 with back-to-back originals also set for December 13 and 27. No return date for "'Til Death" however was given.

Sounds different but good, I love Sarah Shahi.
Sarah Shahi was terrific on Life which should've been on USA not NBC. Its good to see her finding a lead and this show sounds completely original.
USA is starting to ease itself into the #2 network in this country behind CBS.

Eastwick has about 14 minutes to keep me as a viewer. This episode has taken stupidity to a whole new level. What was a promising show, has turned into a bad version of Sex and the City meets Charmed.

The coming attractions for next week looks good.
I saw nothing that would keep my as a viewer. This week's ep was so over the top with the full moon even I can't tolerate it anymore and I like off the wall stuff. I'm done with the show and the show itself is over by January.
Good move by Fox although I would still like to see Brothers air nation-wide on a Sunday at 7:30. I think the show, while pretty generic and far from Emmy-worthy, deserves a chance. Why the hell Fox even picked it up was the real question (to keep Micheal Strahan happy?). I wish the other networks would give African American comedies a chance again too. ABC has had some in development, but has passed on them. Hell, even something along the lines of Half and Half or One on One would be good.

Um--ANYTHING?
Sheesh, they used to get better demo #'s in that timeslot for COPS repeats. No lie.
It's way past time for them to tell Whedon it's over, and let him crank out a few more hours to finish things up as well as he can. Which probably won't be very well at all.
Dollhouse is indeed dead...I second Mr. Pisher's thoughts.

I was a big fan of WAT too. But it I felt the series dried up, creatively in the last season. It was good while Steven Weber was on as the head of the team, but that was just a short story arc.
WAT, after 7 seasons, had to be getting expensive to produce and buy for CBS. Even if TGW pulls the same numbers, the cut in costs make it more attractive. Plus, as with any new series, it has an upside with growth potential. WAT had nowhere else to go but down.
My guess is that CC did cut costs to stay on CBS. Could be they same situation for Numb3rs too.

First off, let's discuss THE GOOD WIFE. As a huge fan of WITHOUT A TRACE, I cannot comprehend how CBS could cancel that show and keep COLD CASE and believe GOOD WIFE, NUMBERS, and THREE RIVERS deserved a spot on the schedule.
JULIANNA MARGUILES is one of the most overrated actresses ever and I cheered the day she left ER.
Most importantly, THE GOOD WIFE is pulling essentially the same 18-49's as WITHOUT A TRACE - despite competing against the also-ran JAY LENO SHOW as opposed to NBC's highest rated drama LAW AND ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT- and has a stronger lead-in with NCIS: L.A.
