"But CBS has sprung a major leak at 8 p.m., with the time period-premiere of musical drama Viva Laughlin at a mere (and fourth-place) 6.77 million viewers and a 1.2/ 2 among adults 18-49."

This is great news for Kevin Walker! Wink

The yanking of Online Nation seems to have been a genius move by CW - or at least, as close to genius as that network gets. AiA put up a decent number for a repeat in that timeslot, and gave a huge boost to Life is Wild. If LiW can be a 1.6 million type of show, it will get a lot more leash than if it's a 1.0 million type of show.

VL is dead, this week. Obviously. Congrats on making Cane and Moonlight look like hits, CBS.

Fox is probably loving the Sox comeback. I imagine Indians/Rockies would've made for an extremely low-rated World Series.

DH took about a 5% hit from last week. I wonder if baseball contributed. You wouldn't think so, but I know I was doing a lot of back and forth flipping. Still finished 110K ahead of Grey's and tied it in demo (based on fast nats... will have to see on finals). I think DH is holding up in season 4 quite nicely.

STANDINGS | Congrats to week 11 winner Douglas! | Winter/Spring 2010 Top 5 (thru 3/17):
1. Douglas (3228) 2. spotupj (3032) 3. yankeesrj12 (2612) 4. Ammit (2480) 5. WlcmZ.Texas (2472)

There's such a huge irony in the fact that JERICHO and AMAZING RACE that didn't make the regular schedule all did better than CBS's new fall entries. Irony indeed!

Hey, Marc can we find out how much VIVA bled off on the half hour mark or did it increase slightly given how well COLD CASE rebounded in the next hour?

I doubt they will put Jericho on Sunday's at 8PM, unless they wait until January to do so.

I think what they should do is put Jericho on Tuesdays at 9, followed by Unit at 10. This would give it a very good lead in (NCIS) with a compatible audience.

I am sure they will put Power of 10 on either Sunday or Wednesday at 8 very soon. With the other time slot getting a crime repeat.

And Close to Home did much better than Moonlight is doing as well.

I think there is about a 0% chance they will move VL to Saturday. The Saturday crime repeats do much better then VL did on a Sunday yesterday. VL on a Saturday would get about a 0.3 demo rating.

Perhaps Mr. Moonves could move the series to Saturdays at 8 pm, where competition is lessened and this inventive musical-drama series could possibly find itself an audience.

Does anyone know how many episodes have completed the post-production process?

DH was awesome last night!!! so was brothers and sisters! and you would think that both would decrease from last week since there is so much competition, but the numbers are extremely high and the demos are great

But jericho is only a 7 episode season... why not start it ASAP and if it's dead it's dead... but if it shows any sort of life... 8M-9M viewers you can get the cast and crew back to work for more episodes....

Plus I dont think CBS is about to give up on Cane just yet... and Kid Nation isn't going anywhere until the show runs its episodes...

On saturdays it would be trully luck if it could beat MyTV's IFL and NFL programs, and they only average about 800K or so.

VL may be the biggest flop by any of the nets in a couple of years. And that includes Studio 60, Smith, 3lbs, That 1 episode sitcom by ABC, The Great American Dream Giveaway, Online Nation, etc...

I think Viva Laughlin is the one show Jericho could easily out perform, ratings wise

I just don't see them putting Jericho on in a time slot that half the time gets delayed. With a show that is not closed ended.

This is why I see Tuesdays as a more likely option. I guess they could put it on Sundays, but that would be a stupid move.

You really think they will run out the episodes of Kid Nation? Have you seen how low the ratings have gone?

I mean my god how could it NOT be? It had to be the most ill conceived move CBS could have come up with...you didn't need Karnac to know that this was not going to be popular with

A. Old folks watching 60 minutes who aren't familiar with the pop songs.

B. Any male football fans that happened to stick around through 60 Minutes.

C. Or apparently just about anyone else with a pulse.
