I might as well honestly comment on shows as I think because I am in a no win situation, either way. When I defend the CBS sitcoms, because I admittedly like them, (and think the 8:00 CBS sitcom hour is the best hour of comedy on TV) I get accused of being a shill for CBS. When I criticize the CBS three summer shows because they have done poorly expect for their premiere ratings I get accused of being too negative on them. What are you going to do. You can't please everyone so I might as well say what I really think.
Even if CBS cancels "Flashpoint," it will most likely live on in Canada on CTV. The show brought in 1.1 million viewers last Friday, which is excellent for a Canadian series, let alone in the summers on a Friday night.

CTV ready to take over the full cost of making Flashpoint? It would have to catch on in a lot of other international markets where they could syndicate/distribute first run episodes immediately and bring in some cash.

CTV did do that with the latter seasons of "Due South", which also had a first season on CBS.
