Collectively the Firefly (Joss Whedon space western) actors and creators have been canceled about 50 times in the past few years. That's probably an exaggeration...it just seems that way.
They had better luck last year. Both Adam Baldwin (Chuck) and Summer Glau (T:SCC) made it to a second season. Fillion is sure to be canceled again with the upcoming Castle.

And in the case of SCC, never really take to the show in the first place, BECAUSE IT'S A STUPID IDEA FOR A TV SHOW. And because of the Curse of Firefly, obviously. We'll be seeing that again in midseason, with Nathan Fillion's new show.
And the mere fact that Nathan Fillion HAS a new TV show tells you why ratings are down--because the people who greenlight TV shows hate TV and want it to die.
Are there any numbers for True Blood yet? I'd also be interested to see how much Raising the Bar dropped from it's record-breaking premier. I haven't seen a critic have a good word to say about it and with a few exceptions I didn't seem to go over very well here.
•Bloody HBO's True Blood averaged a modest 1.4 million for Sunday's debut, while the fifth-season opener for Entourage (1.6 million) was down 27% from 2.2 million in June 2007.

Isn't it possible that's because people are bored with PB, and think SCC was never that interesting to start with? Is that possible, given that both underperformed in the ratings before the strike? Just putting that out there.
But there needs to be a place for shows that get 6-7 million viewers also now. Otherwise there is only room for about 8 scripted shows now of all the networks. that is why networks need to hold on to the little shows also otherwise there is nothing left to air besides re-runs.
If Gossip Girl can keep these numbers, they'll be doing pretty good.
Prison Break should have been a two-season series, and now we see the results. We still have to check out if it can get a 3.0 demo before we say it`s a total failure. Remember, the people who are saying that Prison Break should get better numbers because there is no competition are the same who said last year that Lost's numbers were prejudiced because the last episode was outside the May Sweeps. You know, with no competition.

MTV Video Music Awards pulls in 8.4 million viewers (Still hoping to find out how many viewers VH1 had that night).
Raising the Bar pulls in 5 million viewers in week#2 after having 7.7million viewers in week #1. Episode #2 would have worked better as a premiere since it wasn't an illogical/insulting mess like the first episode.

Ah, sorry mushu. Some things never change.
Continued pathetic play calling doesn't help and neither does Aaron Rogers pretending he's Brett Favre. He can cut that out any day now lol. I'm afraid my Vikes may end up in 3rd with da Bears surprising Indianapolis. I notice TV-aholic wasn't doin too much braggin either.
Imagine the ratings for that game if Favre had actually went to the Vikings? Go ahead Mushi-jj you can dream. I just can't believe that many people would tune in to see the Raiders play anybody above a Jr. Varsity level. Oh, and Steelers/Browns Sunday, I'll be glued to the tube.

I liked this last episode of 'Raising the Bar', much better than the first. Liked the new character they introduced. We'll see. Good series television will grow on you as time goes.
That said, I can't wait to see how 'Fringe' does. I liked the premiere; a cross between 'XFiles' and 'Lost'.

I was at that game Sunday Night and it was frustraiting to watch. Yea, not much to brag about right now, but at least MY team has a Super Bowl Trophy to show off.
