Seriously, I don't remember New Amsterdam getting a 2.6 in the 18-34 or even a 2.6 in the 18-49 after its first few episodes. Don't forget the strength of PB (and to a lesser extent the weaker T:SCC) is the male 18-34 demos and the other demos in general. I think provided that Prison Break holds up in the 18-34 demo I think it will just scrape in for a 5th season (or quite possibly) convert into the spin-off. Not that I watch it anymore anyways.

Alot lower than I expected, hopefully it built by each half hour.
Maybe that's the demo number, which would be quite good. But I wouldn't be surprised if it was HH, because overalll numbers for Fox premieres have been down so far.

I don't see it building after last week. I personally will, but it's a bit out of the ordinary for mass appeal.
•Bloody HBO's True Blood averaged a modest 1.4 million for Sunday's debut,
Good numbers for True Blood. And there is actually critics that liked it. And i have heard the 2nd episode is MUCH better then the pilot. This could become HBO's next best thing
I don't think that number is very good for HBO. It would be great for Showtime, but for HBO they expect more viewers for a premiere.
I agree. My reaction seeing the ratings of True Blood was that's it. Compared to the hype of the show, it wasn't nearly the ratings HBO expected. HBO has cancelled shows with higher ratings than that.
Entourage should have rated higher but it has a tendency to build on ratings with multiple airings and through the season. Plus, unlike True Blood, its loved by critics.
See what a tiny bit of promotion and publicity can do? The Tuesday premiere of J.J. Abrams' Fringe averaged nine million viewers over its 90-minute premiere, trailing America's Got Talent in total audience but besting all comers in the 18-49 demo. Fringe represents Fox's most-watched drama series debut in two years (excluding those that followed sports or American Idol).
Big Brother (6.97 mil) gained 470K week-to-week, but lagged just behind ABC's Wipeout (7.1 mil) in the 8 o'clock hour.
Elsewhere, 90210 lost some of its zip, delivering 3.31 million viewers — or 67 percent of its debut audience. The CW's Privileged subsequently opened at 9 pm to 2.93 mil, shedding 11 percent of its lead-in. — Matt Mitovich
Fringe's numbers don't seem that bad. Poor 90210 and Privileged, though.

For those that like to hide behind ingnorance instead of the actual facts...
Monday Night Football was the single most watched program cable or broadcast of Monday night. This has a huge effect on broadcasted shows, so those claiming that Monday night shows had no competition because there was no Chuck and the likes are sadly mistaken.
During the double-header, the game that started at 7:00pm EST drew in 12.5 million viewers. And once again, it was the season opener for Monday Night Football.
This won't happen again, as from now on the games will start at around 8:40pm.
Next week's ratings among all the shows will tell quite a different story.
