What was MNTV thinking? This is their attempt of scripted dramas? MyNetworkTV has ordered 13 episodes of a new half-hour sitcom, Under One Roof, starring Flavor Flav. The series, which is scheduled to premiere in the spring of this year, is produced by C To The B Productions and Qtopia Entertainment. In the show, Flavor Flav plays an ex-convict that moves in with his wealthy, conservative brother, and turns his family’s life upside down. The series is currently in production in Toronto.

Christine is still the funniest show on the air. What did everyone think of Captain? It seemed too insider, but I liked the main actor and chris klein.

I thought Christine was eh. And Captain was unwatchable. Why the hell did they pick this up? quote: Originally posted by filmkr27: Christine is still the funniest show on the air. What did everyone think of Captain? It seemed too insider, but I liked the main actor and chris klein.

I haven't read a good review of Captain yet... In fact, consistently bad reviews...

Well...CBS is the same network that benched AMAZING RACE and didn't order two races per year and put VIVA LAUGHLIN on the air...

Sad to see Raquel Welsh's first regular sitcom role reduced to that sad caricature. Incidentally, her first guest starring role on a sitcom was in 1964 on Bewitched where she played a Stewardess (that's what they called 'em back then.) quote: Originally posted by tvismyjob: I thought Christine was eh. And most of the people on this forum praised that move. quote: Originally posted by A.C.: Well...CBS is the same network that benched AMAZING RACE and didn't order two races per year.

I still think of them as Stewardess...that's why its jarring and not as enjoyable when a man "flight attendant" shows up to serve you your peanuts and soda.

Really? I thought AMAZING RACE was a WELL LOVED show...I don't remember people actively rooting against it and being happy about only one edition this year.

Actually, they were consistently mixed reviews. Here were 4 positive reviews from major publications.... your link to the full reviews is here.80 Hollywood Reporter Barry Garron Hip in tone but traditional in spirit, it's not at all hard to feel welcome at the Captain. 80 Orlando Sentinel Hal Boedeker The first-rate actors, led by likable Kranz, don't strain in their offbeat roles. Tambor adds another first-rate portrait to his gallery of goofballs. The usually reserved Klein is livelier than ever. 80 Wall Street Journal Nancy DeWolf Smith If Welcome to the Captain can sustain its tone of tender quirkiness, it may find an appreciate audience stretching from those who loved "Arrested Development" to fans of "My Name Is Earl." 70 Variety Brian Lowry Nothing in Welcome to the Captain is particularly fresh, but there's nevertheless a genial charm to this CBS comedy, whose main drawback is that it focuses on the wrong characters. quote: Originally posted by Chimera: I haven't read a good review of Captain yet... The sad part about this is that Flavor Flav is a bigger 'star' than anyone on a CW scripted show. I have my doubts about his ability to do 'scripted' and this show may end up closer to 'reality', but atleast it will help MNTV to skew younger.

Marc and others routinely expressed a desire to have the Thursday 8pm slot divided into Survivor in the Fall and Amazing Race reserved for the Spring. You will never find my name among them though. quote: Originally posted by A.C.: quote: Originally posted by xwiseguyx: And most of the people on this forum praised that move. quote: Originally posted by A.C.: Well...CBS is the same network that benched AMAZING RACE and didn't order two races per year.

I think it will do better as a reality show. Part of the appeal of Flava of Love is the trainwreck factor among the girls selected on the show. quote: Originally posted by Obveeus: quote: Originally posted by WelcomeToK-VilleAmericanGladiators: What was MNTV thinking?
