I watch the FOX shows, Supernatural and Flashforward on DVR. That means I have to watch Vampire Diaries online and if Community doesn't show up On Demand, then I guess I'll watch that online too.

It kinda sucks that CBS has pretty much their whole line-up On Demand, and yet I have no scheduling problems with their shows except Medium (which isn't available, so far).

Once Syfy kicks off it's Friday night line-up, Fridays will be nearly as bad as Thursday for me. Plus, White Collar (USA) will be on Fridays at 10 too. Grrrr!

I have opted to not watch CSI Live or via DVR since it is available via On Demand by Comcast starting today. That leaves Fringe for DVR and The Office & Community for Live Viewing. Once Community move to the 8pm hour, I will have to deal with it, Bones and Survivor. Frowner

Can't speak for middle America, but I opt for ABC live and later watch "30 Rock" on Hulu...

I think ANTM is over the hill and is waiting to die.
I guess a network like Bravo or Oxygen my try it for a season or two.

VD would get some interest. Perhaps even something like ABC?

GG could get some interest, but I think it would also die without the CW/WB synergy. No non WB network would pay the fees needed to keep it into production.

I wonder how many left BONES after the first 5 minutes?

I know it has always had "realistic" corps, guts, bodies, etc.. but last night was a first for this in live action.

The cutting off of a live hand, a body being ran over (full view) and the Kitty Cats feasting.

It didn't bother me, but I was surprised at the change in style for the show.

Those are terrible numbers for Fringe. I can't believe Fox thought it would be able to live in the most competitive timeslot in television considering that it was untested on its own in season 1. It should have been left on Tuesday, same with the Mentalist. I'm sure NCIS:LA would have done fine after CSI.

It will be a close race between cbs and abc for the first week crown, but depending on what sat. night football game is on abc this week I will give abc the edge.

CBS should take the lead after tonight, but ABC will bounce back after Saturday night.
Key for ABC is AFV and Extreme Makeover. EM:HE was losing a lot of steam last spring. Can it bounce back?

I loved Fast Forward's premise I hope they don't expand the core cast to too many characters, they need time to build the ones they have. Very promising.

But one big beef I have with ABC. Why oh why must you always repeat shows on Friday? They did that with Lost ad nauseum with the pop-ups and doing it again tonight with FF/MF/CT. It sort of dilutes the "excitement factor" when you do this. I know they are trying to get more viewers but it might end up biting them in the butt. Give them less and they will want more IMHO.

lets not close the "bright spots" list before Smallville airs, Smallville has never gone below 3 million and that is a lot by CW standards.

Wouldn't it be cool if Smallville got 4-5 million viewers. Then Dawn o would have something to think about Wink

TV-aholic. Sounds as if you are trying to hatch a plan to ruin the only successful TV Musical Comedy hour.

I bet they are kicking themself for cancelling VM and Reaper those shows are the type of shows that would get good ratings on a good timeslot

OMG. Give it up. VM was getting under 2 million viewers when it was canceled. And that was back in the day when the CW average was in the 3.25 million range. VM got the prime post-ANTM slot back when that show was in its prime, and it STILL flopped. If it was on the air now, it'd be getting Beautiful Life ratings.

The CW posted a PR press release about TVD and SPN. Does it smack of desperation? Sure it does, but the part about SPN is actually intereting:

quote:
Now in its 5th season, SUPERNATURAL has seen its ratings grow over last season by 27% with women 18-34 (1.4/4), 9% in adults 18-34 (1.2/3) and 8% in women 18-49 (1.3/3).

SUPERNATURAL faced tougher competition (against the “Grey’s Anatomy” and “CSI” premieres), and still retained 92% of last week’s adults 18-34 rating (1.2/3), 100% of its adults 18-49 audience (1.2/3) and 94% in total viewers (2.62mil).

Would I love to see it grow more or not drop/keep steady? You betcha. On the other hand, everything else on the network is dropping not only in viewers but in key demos, too. I think that so far - SV hasn't aired yet, after all - Thursday is the only day that the CW doesn't really have to worry about. They have bigger problems at hand.
