I'm very confused on all this so any information would be nice !!
Did you not watch last nights episode? They dealt as much as they could in the last 5 mins.
Yes, Jim is still in Sam's body. Jim is Jim not by his outer appearance, because that will forever more be Sam, but rather by his spirit/soul/memories that are now completely in control. Sam's memories are completely gone after he experienced another near death experience in the water while trying to save Mel in the sewers, allowing Jim's to resurface from unconsciousness. Jim only remembers every before he took over Sam's body but everything afterwords till he came back are scrubbed clean, as in why Mel had to show him his new appearance at the end.
I hope that helped.
I am befuddled as to why the producers/writers of 'Ghost Whisperer' killed off Jim, only to bring him back right away.
Alternatively, after a respectful period of mourning (say, half a season), widowed whisperer Mel could have gone back into the dating world, and used her sensory gifts to find a new paramour.
As much as I liked the character of Jim, Mel's being husbanded always limited the types of stories that could be told, as it limited how close Mel could bond with her spiritual clients. As a single, she would be able to sleep around a bit as she solved her mysteries. And if 'Gary Unmarried' gets axed, then Mel could finally get it on with Mr. Mohr's Professor Payne character.

Killing off Jim was supposed to a big shocker but the shock was he was much more popular than TPTB knew hence his speedy return plus alot on people liked Melinda/Jim .. As for Jay Mohr's Payne- Gag me UGH !! If the show has tried pairing him and Melinda I'd not be watching anymore since Jay/Payne /is was way overhyped .. Never underestmimate what fans do and don't like and TPTB certainly underestimated the popularity of David Conrad/Jim on the show ! I was happy seeing Jay go as I hated Payne and found him very annoying to watch . I felt Payne was hindering Melinda on the show not Jim !! I got tired of her always running to the professor for help and hated all their scenes together . I know many liked Payne but he grated on my last nerve and was tired of seeing him get plenty of airtime and Jim's limited . I was like Good Riddance Jay/Payne and don't bother coming back !

Yes it did help but it is going to be interesting how they pull it off since the actor who plays Sam is not scheduled to return but David is returning so will Jim be Sam but where David is the only one shown as both characters ? TPTB got themselves in a bad situation and it is all funny though frustrating but that's what happens when you botch things up and then try to fix the mistake.. A dream sequence seems the only feasible way to solve this dilemma !

I am a huge fan of the show. Its will never be the same, but its a pretty good second choice.I like to think if as Jim becoming a blond and getting a new name.
The Tiffany Network (CBS) continues to dominate on Fridays. GW just amazes me how a fantasy show can get those type of numbers.
I knew FP was going to need to move but its still doing well enough to enter the 2010-11 especially up here in Canada where its a hit on CTV. CBS is a 25-54 demo network although the 18-49 demo still matters to them. I don't think their too worried about 1.9. I still think CBS is going to have to put Cold Case there at 9pm next season and move Flashpoint to Sundays or Thursdays at 10pm for another mid-season pickup. FP is definitely doing way better than anything that's been there since Close to Home left the airwaves for no reason.
NUMB3RS can certainly use the Cold Case lead-in. I think when it comes to Flashpoint and NUMB3RS they've never got the extra exposure on a higher-hut level night during the season and so there audience is small compared to other procedurals. I think CBS should give both shows some extra exposure on other nights.
FOX is well not doing well but I think Dollhouse is a keeper. As long as FOX wants to keep it they can. Dollhouse has stabilized but needs a bigger lead-in. T:SCC is a guilty pleasure but it should be gone by season's end. T:SCC has a lot of good talent that can be used on other shows.
NBC and ABC is DOA on Friday Nights without watchable original programming. I hope both networks in the future do something with their lineups that will keep people watching.
The Peacock with Howie Do It is obviously being produced for syndication money. Friday Night Lights seems to have grown in its ratings as of late and its worth keeping if NBC wants it. I think NBC should take a hard look at dueling up Law & Order and Medium on Friday Nights next season.
NBC FRI 2009-10 8-Law & Order 9-Medium
ABC is just DOA, I hate commenting on what they do on Friday Nights b/c they aren't trying. ABC Friday can go two ways in the future on Friday Nights when it comes to original programming. ABC can have an audience just as big as CBS' if they really cared about it. ABC can have successful little brother Disney Channel program the night or after their new breed of traditional sitcoms get established produce a new TGIF lineup. It needs to happen in a few years.
Okay The CW shouldn't exist anymore but there was finally something positive about their Friday Night that's worth talking about. The season-high for The Game. The Game will probably more than likely not be picked up by The CW next season but its a free agent worth picking up b/c its got syndication value written all over it as its currently on BET right now. The one network that should pick it up is TBS. TBS is really successful with Tyler Perry's House of Payne and Meet the Browns that The Game could perform and fit well over there. MyNet was the other one but they've kinded of faded out of original programming.
Speaking of MyNet its amazing how well Smackdown! does for them when the coverage isn't as high as it was on The CW. I still think FOX should look at picking up a few episodes over the summer since SD! will be pre-empted heavily for baseball.
Never underestmimate what fans do and don't like and TPTB certainly underestimated the popularity of David Conrad/Jim on the show !
I'm confused, what did they underestimate? The actor never left the show and they successfully made a show that had been losing audience the previous couple of seasons increase on a night where every other show has seen declines.

I wish ABC would air Disney Channel sitcoms so they can flop and I won't have to read about how ABC should air Disney programming on Fridays ever again.
