Imagine if CBS would've had two successful sitcoms to air at 8pm this past fall so the promising BBT could've received the post-2.5 Men slot. Still, great numbers for ALL CBS shows.
I think that CBS learned from messing with TNAoOC's timeslot that moving RoE would be a bad idea. The ratings last night support the idea that both BBT and HIMYM have held the strength they were building in the first part of this season, even though the wirter's strike and WttC have interrupted the flow a bit.

Still, if this episode was strong (haven't watched yet),people might be coming back for more.
King of Queens was a much stronger, veteran program last year that was airing "the final episodes". I think Christine proved last night that its ready to move elsewhere on the CBS schedule most likely with HIMYM and allow Rules to slide up to 8:30 next fall with a new comedy at 9:30.
Below is are the numbers for 2.5 Men BEFORE the strike.

Ya I think they were worried what sort of numbers Rules is really pulling on its own by moving it to 8:30 so they gave that to Big Bang instead. Nevertheless, everything is alive and kicking and that is the BEST news we've had around here in a long time.

Was last night a season high then in the demo? If so, great news for 2.5 Men and Dancing didn't seemed to be hurt one bit in the process.
I dont get why abc did not have a special preview of Miss Guided last night. They should have aired it on both nights of Dancing before taking over the Thurs at 8 time slot, thus giving it every opportunity to succeed.
Originally posted by xwiseguyx: I think after next week and people get used to the time slot change, things will perk up for BBT more.
And I think some people must've caught up with this show and Rules and the entire Monday block for that matter during the strike season. Let's hope that this eventually happens for other deserving players like Reaper on the CW.

When CSI:Miami returns with new eps, if they're still beating them, then you can call them a loser. But give them a little credit.
I disagree. Why should Medium be declared a winner simply for managing to be about even with a repeat on CBS?
Its not a loser, but its not really a winner either. Its one of those in between. The key last night was that NBC still managed to rebound some with that pathetic My Dad as the lead off show. How about they just slip in Dateline there and shift My Dad to Fridays or Saturdays?
Agreed. At the very least, it deserves an Honorable Mention.

All the comedies hit season high demo numbers aside from TNAoOC. If any sitcom gets axed (or delayed to midseason), that will be the one. RoE is more compatible with 2&1/2men.

I don't get why Miss/Guided isn't airing on Tuesdays regardless. The show could easily air at 9:30 after an hour of results. Jim can get the Idol beat down at 8pm and BL can finish out the night at 10. And while we're at it, why didn't they pull Men in Trees and ship it back to Fridays, move the Bachelor to Wed. for a 1-2-3 unscripted block and try out WMC on Mondays? They could've aired 5 or so repeats first and then tried out the 3 new eps.

Well CBS is going to add at least one new comedy next fall so I'm guessing both will survive.
