Yeah the numbers for Terminator and Dollhouse suck, but I can't see FOX killing this lineup. Plus, I assume that Terminator is probably very close or already wrapped with it's back 9 episodes. I think they are going to ride this out til April when Prison Break returns. I think Prison Break will probably improve slightly over Terminator. I heard that Dollhouse started production late, so I assume they are still working on completing the 13 episode order. What works slightly in Terminator's favor is that Kevin Reilly has been very patient with it this season despite it's crappy ratings on Monday. Reilly could have easily pulled the plug after episode 13.
I can guarantee that if Peter Liguori or Gail Berman were still running FOX, they would have pulled the plug on these shows ASAP.
Dollhouse has already finished it's 13 ep order. Eliza stated it herself on one of her talk shows, I believe with Conan.

ABC had its best Friday all year, CBS was close to current levels (at least GW was) and Fox had a stronger demo Friday than most. Jason did nothing. I'm expecting low box office returns for what looked like a joke.

FOX well not sure about them right now. If they can get these numbers every week then that'll be decent, but not nearly as well as the game shows did.
Well the movie was placed in over 3000 theaters and the audiance in my theater clapped at the end. I really like and i have seen all the other ones to. It was so close to being as good at the original. The only reason it was not was because the killed of Danielle.
I liked that they killed her, it was unexpected. I thought the movie was SO fun! My theater clapped in the beginning and the end, in every kill, and in the fight between Clay and Jason! Also, Jared and Amanda were HOT!
Well i love the original films and also since Danielle was in it that was a plus. She is so Beautiful. I thught she would live since she had 2nd billing. Plus as soon as the other to go in the tunnel before her i new she was gone and i was so pissed about it. But i will get it when it comes out on DVD none-the-less. Didn't you think the death scenes were very creative. Like when they were on the boat. That arrow was so unexpected.
Yeah, the deaths were cool. And Jason with the arrow was unexpected since that's not his style. The death that creeped me out the most was that police officer! I have a thing about eyes and violence! EW to that.

You think Dollhouse needs a 2.5 demo to succeed on Friday, yet many people were calling Flashpoint a success and it hasn't done that well in any episode this season.
I swear sometimes I think about 70% of the people on this board work for CBS
Thats more then my bloody valintine 3D grossed all together. Friday the 13th is only in its first weekend. I smell sequel.
Oh c'mon, Walter--there'd have been a sequel if it did 20mil for the whole weekend. Hell, there'd have been a sequel if it did 30mil for its entire domestic run.
But here's two words for ya. Front. Loaded.
It's a Friday the 13th movie that opened on Friday the 13th. Everybody who was at all interested wanted to see it last night. The reviews are horrible, it's much too violent for most people, there are no big stars. It'll do quite a bit more biz out of curiosity, but it won't continue like this.
It's a major success--but purely by virtue of good marketing, an established brandname, and a budget that is supposed to be around 16mil.
Those who talk about it being the biggest horror movie of all time have apparently forgotten The Exorcist.
Too much hate comes out of your mouth pisher! I say go out and enjoy the movie for what it is, a fun slasher film! Oh and sex, I know you like that!
The hockey mask wielding psycho of the 80s was the only putting up the good numbers last night.
Its been a long time since I've posted picture of the night's ratings stars since some of my readers have requested that I post pictures. I've decided to do a special edition where I'll post the TOP 8 young female stars during the months of February. Most of these actresses will be heard from for a long time.
Let me start off by saying that the ratings are interesting today more than most days from Friday Nights b/c of FOX, but its just too bad they didn't perform like they have on the internet.
Same old same old quality ratings coming out of the Tiffany Network. America's Most Watched Network CBS since 1998 is the classiest of the networks and a real winner. Every Friday you're guaranteed to see each show score over 8 million viewers. GW knows how to keep the single women in the house on Friday Nights. This is the only real successful sci-fi/fantasy show on the air right now outside of Lost. This was an average/down night for GW, but still good considering it is a Friday. The fine looking DH daughter was on there last night and that had me watching. GW is so powerful right now that its now heading into its fifth season.
My hometown Toronto drama Flashpoint does very well up here in Canada on CTV ranking in TOP 20 every week. On CBS it does well too, but last night gave me a slight concern. The episode was moving and emotional and there should be an uptick next week. I think FP needs to be moved back into the 10pm slot immediately for the show's sake and NUMB3RS might be able to retain GW's demo a little better. FP being so cheap to make is CBS most valuable player right now even though I know you guys would argue that NCIS, The Mentalist, CSI:s, and CM is a gold mine for them. FP can get away with 8 million viewers every week and still not trouble the budget for CBS. I heard some of you guys earlier and I think FP should head back to 10pm either on Thursday, Friday, or Sunday. Cold Case should make a permanent move to CBS Friday at 9pm next season and move Miami to 9pm or the NCIS spin-off. The NCIS spin-off doesn't need to be on Wednesdays at 8pm b/c they need to give fans of NCIS on Tuesdays a breather for a day in between. NUMB3RS did about as well as it could do and this show will last until producers either shut it down or CBS finds something better to replace it with.
If you had to choose NUMB3RS or 11th Hour, who would you bring back? DUH!
America's Second Most Watched Network FOX except on Fridays obviously had an off night last night, but the demos for Dollhouse were extremely solid. I wonder if the male audience watching Smackdown! had an effect? Anyways T:SCC has abandoned so many viewers over the last year that its completely lost more than half of its initial audience. One thing T:SCC has its gold mine acting talent and they will be huge free agents for the next pilot season. Eliza Dushku isn't quite ready to carry a show just yet still, but people like Dollhouse and next week's episode looks fun. This week's episode was too slow. The bad thing about these ratings is the fact that these shows are really expensive and the ratings are too close to CW levels. The drop next week could be ugly for Joss Whedon. I liked how Summer and Eliza were promoting during the break. Very creative FOX. FOX will need to be very patient here, but how can they be patient before they bring back Jeff Foxworthy and Wayne Brady. Let's see what happens!
ABC had its best Friday of the season and its clear that this was not a Friday the 13th audience watching these shows. 20/20 was on fire last night showing it still has legs to carry that 10pm timeslot for ABC. I remember when 20/20 was an event back in the 80s after TGIF. Remember that shit? I think ABC should dump WS for mid-season next year and create a one hour comedy block next season or dump Life on Mars here to see hwo things turn out.
NBC has really struggled on Friday Nights and the only thing that really worked was DOND, Las Vegas, and Summer Olympics in recent years. Good news for the Peacock is that they'll get the Winter Games to open on the left coast in Vancouver on the same weekend next year. YEAH! Howie Do It just hasn't worked as its been steadily dropping every single week and FNL has just struggled hard, but its still doing better than most CW shows. YARN!
The CW still exists?
Fear is Real for Friday the 13th. As the mega horror franchise rebooted itself last night into 3,105 theaters across US/Canada. Making an outstanding $20 million on opening night. Twilight and James Bond back in November were the last two films to do that. The audience was very diversed in my theater when I went to go see it. The lines are still filling up outside of our studio. I was promoting the last two months not knowing why, but now I know and it was worth it. We could be looking at a huge $40-50 million 4-Day weekend folks making history for the horror genre and setting a new standard. Too bad Rob Zombie's Halloween can't touch this. Making $19 million is no joke especially when the movie was good. Anytime you can have a bunch of hot girls screaming in your theater that is just a plus all on its own. Just absolutely loved it.
When people think about biggest horror movie of all-time they will turn to Friday the 13th first, but if you really think about it has to be The Exorcist, Jaws, and Hannibal Lector series. Did this weekend so far just prove that there's a change in that theory?
I agree. First off, T:SCC is DOA on Fridays. I'll be surprised if it lasts on Fridays. AYSTA5thG and even Cops did better in that spot.
As for Dollhouse, it was a decent debut. However, my guess is that it falls a lot in the second week. Viewers response to the pilot isn't good.

Originally posted by Marc Berman: I did not do an analysis because there is no PI on Monday. But here is the bottom line on the debut of Fox's Dollhouse:
1. It averaged 4.72 million viewers (#3 behind CBS' Flashpoint and ABC's Supernanny) from 9-10 p.m., with a second-place finish among adults 18-49 (2.0/ 6).
2. The positive news was growth out of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles of 1.01 million viewers and 43 percent among adults 18-49.
3. Given the hype, however, this was still nothing to boast about.
That's exactly the problem with this sci fi Friday idea. FOX will not choose it over the game shows. AYSTA5thG already rated higher than the timeslot premiere of T:SCC. Once Dollhouse settles, it will be lower than the ratings for DFTL.

Originally posted by spotupj: The 2.0 for Dollhouse is not really that bad relative to my expectation, but the problem is that I really think 2.0 is about the baseline where Fox will even consider keeping a Friday scripted show, because I think it has to be a lot better than something like Lyrics, which can pull around a 1.6 in the same slot. And this is not the kind of show that's going to keep 100% of its premiere audience.
You might say that the above sounds like it's in a doomed situation, but... well, it is.
I agree. Considering the cost of production, Flashpoint is a success for CBS, even at the low demo level it achieved this week. Unless it falls a few notches further, I think it is a lock to come back Fridays at 9 PM.
