No spinning for Dollhouse. I think next week will be a good indication of what it will do and its fate.

Both shows need to get a 2.0 to "keep Hope Alive", if thats even enough.

The 2.0 for Dollhouse is not really that bad relative to my expectation, but the problem is that I really think 2.0 is about the baseline where Fox will even consider keeping a Friday scripted show, because I think it has to be a lot better than something like Lyrics, which can pull around a 1.6 in the same slot. And this is not the kind of show that's going to keep 100% of its premiere audience.

You might say that the above sounds like it's in a doomed situation, but... well, it is.

Did it take GW and FLASHPOINT to post disparite numbers to realize that the shows may not share as many viewers as previously thought? Even when the shows post similar ratings might it be a case of one aud leaving the building and another entering? I know there is some resistance to that idea, but I would certainly like to debate it.

As far as NUMBERS, I believe this season puts them over the 100 ep mark.

Make that 2.5 and then FOX will think about it

That is what I was thinking. I had not heard of any "positive" hype for the show.

What 'hype'? It seems like 99% of the 'hype' for Dollhouse has been negative press.

Btw, where are all the SCC fans to tell us how happy FOX is with its ratings last night, and how making Summer Glau the star of the show was the genius move that shot its ratings up?

There have been a fair few positive reviews, but I think you're confusing 'press' with 'hype'.

Hype is what the network PAYS for.

FOX you disgust me once again!

So you won't watch FOX anymore? First Twilight, now Dollhouse, sucks for you right?

FOX dumped the show there beacause they've seen the pilot and they've realized the show it's horrible

WTH has Twilight to do with FOX Roll Eyes ?

Summer is the one part of the Show I DONT like. Could have still been a female terminator, but it needed to be intimidating, not pretty. Plus, she is not a very good actress, or atleast from what she does on this show.

You think Dollhouse needs a 2.5 demo to succeed on Friday, yet many people were calling Flashpoint a success and it hasn't done that well in any episode this season.

FOX well not sure about them right now. If they can get these numbers every week then that'll be decent, but not nearly as well as the game shows did.

Well the movie was placed in over 3000 theaters and the audiance in my theater clapped at the end. I really like and i have seen all the other ones to. It was so close to being as good at the original. The only reason it was not was because the killed of Danielle.

Without commenting on FLASHPOINT's future, you can safely bet that if 10-12mm watched C2H they would watch COLD CASE. CC would be the most successful show to have aired on the nite since the first year of CSI and L&O SVU in 02-03.

Fox's duo flopped like expected. Terminator, which I rarely saw an ad for, was DOA. Dollhouse, as expected did a little flexing in the demo at 9pm and did finish second, but still not going to be good enough I'm afraid. We'll see what next week brings.

ABC had one helluvah night! Wife Swap right at season's average, Supernanny really flexed at 9pm. I knew losing 5th Grader and Lyrics would help those two. 20/20 must've had a big interview at 10pm. Great numbers for that.

So much for Howie Do It and Friday Night Lights. NBC just as well ship Life back to Fridays for burn off and move Dateline (which I think would be good counter programming) to Wednesdays at 9.

I think part of what made Flashpoint a success was its compatibility between GW & Numbers (at least compared to Ex-List & Moonlight). Plus, expectations were low for Flashpoint, it's an import from Canada, and CBS has to be happy with its overall viewership numbers.

Marc it was very good. They made a wanning franchise new again. They made Jason human. He ran after his victems instead of the slow monster-like walk. plus the deaths were very creative. I am a horror movie buff and i was surprised at what they did.

"To nobody's surprise, moviegoers stormed the multiplexes on Friday the 13th to see the new remake of Friday the 13th. But the opening day take was even bigger than expected with an estimated $19M in ticket sales collected in the first day. It was the largest opening day tally of any film since last November's vampire drama Twilight and will go on to generate the biggest opening weekend of 2009 thus far."

Well, if Whedon fans ever start their own country (Whedonia?), you could probably be stoned there for saying that. But happily, they have to settle for flaming you. Wink
