*can someone remind me when the last Wednesday original PP was? Would love to compare this to that, or an average of Wednesday PP original finals from this season, and see whether there's been any actual boost to PP yet from its three weeks airing post-GA*

Other than that it looks like the show had one of its best episodes of the season where it didn't follow a monster hit.

That is worse than I thought, the move has done not much it still can't break 10M.

ABC needs to wonder what to do with this, bringing it back for another full season looks to be a bad idea in this economy

There's no stopping Bruckheimer and Zuiker's television sensational scripted series of the decade CSI: at all. You'd think with Grissom gone that the show will fail after that. HELL NO! Fishburne came in and is pretty much making the show his own.

Let's start out with the main ratings story of the day as we head into Super Bowl weekend also the highest rated showcase each year. America's Most Watched Network CBS since 1998 just continues to over power each network night in and night out. A barely promoted rerun of Criminal Minds got 10 million viewers and surged over everybody except Idol with a strong 2.0 demo and an even stronger 2.6 demo in the 25-54 demo where it counts for CBS. Now where things get interesting is during the next hour where CSI: got a mammoth 20+ million viewers and powerful 5.4 demo, which is really high now in days. CSI: is that one series that may out live some of us and be out 30 years from now. Fishburne has completely owned this show since he debuted and is putting confidence into CSI: fans that he can carry the show without the multi-million dollar man Grissom around. 11th Hour is on the disappointing side as its retention was not good out of CSI: LV. 11th Hour has done a great job in repeats so its got some value to stay on CBS' roster next season, but another night would be favorable for it. I think 11th Hour will be able to anchor Saturday Nights at 9pm. JUST SAYIN'!

Next up is America's second place network two years in a row. Idol is that monster ship that can attack on any night including a special night like Thursday. AI might have a healthier season this year when they go with their studio shows starting in February. They need one as they haven't had a good season since 2006 when McPhee and Hicks went down to the wire. The Bones night without Bones had a really good performance with Hell's Kitchen. Like I said before FOX, just go with HK all season and cancel Kitchen Nightmares. The tandem of Bones and HK looks promising as FOX is really looking to having a good second-half without a Super Bowl this year. Every network has their star reality series drawing over 10 million viewers with FOX and HK, ABC with tired Bachelor, NBC with the fat Biggest Loser, and CBS with Survivor.

The news wasn't all good as once again ABC and NBC end up behind CBS and FOX.

ABC looks brighter next season than NBC as I really want to get into the comedy situation on both networks. Nothing here talk about ratings wise except how pathetic NBC's comedies are in the ratings and how they have no absolute replay value. The Office is pretty popular on other properties as a lot of its audience watches it on their own time and not NBC's.

ABC's Private Practice is doing the best it can every week and you can appreciate that big time no doubt about that my friends. PP really had to prove this week that it could build off the GA repeat and it did just that. PP should improve even more once the medical drama audience go exclusive to PP in April unless they decide to watch the expected NBC procedural hit Southland. PP is in good position right now with the crossover with GA to establish another audience out of that. PP is the one 10pm ABC show that can perform on its own.

Okay back to ABC's traditional sitcom situation. Steve may totally bring back the genre as we saw CBS stay with it, thankfully. I think if ABC picks up Surviving Suburbia, which is surprisingly highly anticipated then they will easily have a great ratings grabber to build around. ABC should see if they can keep up the Full House actor comeback with John Stamos as he should be this season's hottest free agent now that ER is ending. Stamos has made it clear that he wants to continue working on something next fall either as an actor or as a producer. Uncle Jesse can certainly draw an audience and if ABC can produce a multi-camer for him then they have hit the jackpot. Just imagine a one hour block of Surviving Surburbia/a John Stamos sitcom. ABC should also try to see if they can get either Old Christine or Gary Unmarried from CBS and add it to a two hour sitcom block on either Tuesdays or Wednesdays.

The CW still exists?

I would like to see ABC move Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to Fridays and warm up that night for a return of TGIF in either 2011 or 2012. Add a comedy block behind America's Funniest Home Videos on Sundays at 8pm leading into Desperate Housewives. The possibilities are endless and Steve's commitment to returning to traditional sitcoms is a relief for all of the American viewers out there since most of us grew up with them.

NBC looks like their not even trying to bring any traditional sitcoms to the air as they are still single-cam friendly. The Must See TV Lineup was a gold mine for NBC giving the network a range of 15-50 million viewers a week for each of their hours from 1982 until 2006. Most of those shows that grew up in that period were legendary ratings grabbers. Its sad to see the night fall all the way down to 3 million viewers. That's absolutely pathetic. NBC can stick with the single-cams, but at least balance it out with the traditional multi-cams that the casual viewers are actually going to watch.

The only night worth talking about is The CW Thursday block. They are the highest rated programs on the network and Smallville's partner Supernatural seems to be getting stronger as of late with its retention out of SV. The CW Thursday block seems like the only time people watch this pathetic network. SV entered in third place. I hadn't seen that since Smackdown did it on their stay there the last two years. I would recommend The CW doing one of two things and that's either making a SV spin-off or shutting down the network by the end of the year and giving it back to The WB full-time.

Look for Supernatural star Jared out of Friday the 13th in two weeks in theaters.

Again Why Does The Can't Watch Network Still Exists?

I've never seen Burn Notice, but it seems to be a hit for the USA Network.
