---------------
-Yesterday’s Winners: Bones (Fox), The Vampire Diaries (CW), Grey’s Anatomy (ABC), CSI (CBS), The Office (NBC), The Mentalist (CBS), Private Practice (ABC)

----------
-Ratings Breakdown: It was another Thursday of split leadership, with CBS the most-watched network and ABC No. 1 among adults 18-49 -- one-tenth of a rating point ahead of both CBS and Fox.
Fox’s Bones opened the evening on a winning note, with a healthy 12.29 million viewers and a 3.3 rating/10 share among adults 18-49 at 8 p.m. Second was Surviving Survivor on CBS, a clips edition of the long-running reality/competition, at 8.29 million viewers and a 2.4/ 7 in the demo. Heroes vs. Villains, the themed upcoming season of Survivor, begins next week. Go Colby!
Also in the 8 p.m. hour was week three of ABC’s The Deep End (Viewers: #3, 5.08 million; A18-49: #5, 1.3/ 4), which continues to lose steam, struggling NBC comedies Community (Viewers: #3, 5.22 million; A18-49: #3, 2.2/ 7) and already renewed Parks and Recreation (Viewers: #4, 4.87 million; A18-49: #3, 2.3/ 6), and The Vampire Diaries on The CW (Viewers: #5, 4.01 million; A18-49: #4, 1.8/ 5), which remains the network’s most-watched series. The Vampire Diaries rose to its best results in total viewers, women 18-34 (3.0/9), adults 18-34 (2.3/7) and women 18-49 (2.4/6) since Nov. 12, 2009.
Also worth positively noting was NBC’s The Office at 7.36 million viewers (#4) and a second-place 3.8/10 among adults 18-49. Comparably, growth out of lead-in Parks and Recreation was a hefty 2.49 million viewers and 65 percent in the demo. Leading out of The Office was disappointing 30 Rock at 5.93 million viewers (#4) and a third-place 2.7/ 8 in the demo.
Rounding off the 9 p.m. hour was the winter season-finale of Fox’s Fringe (Viewers: #3, 7.41 million; A18-49: #4, 2.6/ 7), which returns in the spring, and Supernatural on The CW (Viewers: #5, 2.35 million; A18-49: #5, 1.1/ 3).
Leadership was also mixed at 10 p.m. by ABC and CBS as follows:
Thursday 10 p.m. The Mentalist (CBS) – Viewers: 14.74 million (#1), A18-49: 3.3/ 9 (#2) Private Practice (ABC) – Viewers: 9.33 million (#2), A18-49: 3.4/ 9 (#1)
In the distant No. 3 spot was NBC’s soon-to-conclude The Jay Leno Show at just 3.94 million viewers (#3) and a 1.2/ 3 among adults 18-49 (#3). Ouch!

What a strange season for The Office. Last night's episode fell flat, as have about half of the episodes aired so far this season. Strangely, though, the other half have been among the best episodes ever produced. Totally dumbfounding.

I'd agree with you that last night was terrible, but I don't think that any of the other episodes from this season have been among the series' best.
It's a shame that the ratings are still so good. The show has really jumped the shark.

Same sentiments here. I watch out of habit pretty much. I look forward to Parks and Recreation now. The office, for me, is an afterthought.

I'm calling this last last round of Fringe ratings a mild success. It is within shouting distance of CBS in the demo and the ep quality in general was an improvement, and the at times enigmatic and annoying series seems to have taken a step forward in its serialized aspect.
Last nite was not quite the 10/10 I was hoping for but it was good enough. This show staved off drowning, and in it, I see the potential for a very good show as they try to integrate various types of "science" with a certain amount of real world premise. This happily small cast is keeping up its end, and may the writers continue to get a grip on where to go with this. This is not an easy series to pull off, and at times the people behind it seemed to made the effort even more difficult.

I agree that The Office has been up and down this season, but I personally liked last night's episode.

I wish Surving Survivor was promoted more, it was not to be missed and much more than a clips show. Always pleasing when The Vampire Diaries gets 4 million, seems Grey's will be stuck in the 11s and 12s until it falls even further. ABC's biggest scripted shows are now lucky to get 12 million! They need new hits and the pilots they are picking up don't sound like they will break out.
