-Adults 18-49: Fox: 6.8 rating/19 share, ABC: 2.0/ 5, CBS and NBC: 1.8/ 5 each, CW: 1.2/ 3
----------
-Yesterday’s Winners: The Moment of Truth (Fox), American Idol (Fox), Law & Order R (NBC)
-Yesterday’s Losers (Excluding Repeats): Big Brother 9 (CBS), Men in Trees (ABC)
----------
-Ratings Breakdown: Fox dominated, of course, care of the live American Idol Results Show, which scored a hefty 25.42 million viewers and a 9.7 rating/25 share among adults 18-49 from 9-10 p.m. But also worth noting on Fox was lead-in The Moment of Truth, which won the 8 p.m. hour with 9.98 million viewers and a 3.9/11 in the demo. Just wondering: am I the only one expecting Jerry Springer to walk on the stage during The Moment of Truth? It’s like the “Jerry Springer of game shows!” As for American Idol, my prediction was correct: Chikezie was sent packing. But how Syesha can land in the bottom three over Ramiele is beyond me!
NBC finished a distant second in total viewers and tied for third among adults 18-49 with its encore combination of two episodes of Law & Order: Criminal Intent (8 p.m. - Viewers: #2, 6.74 million; A18-49: #5, 1.5/ 4 -- 9 p.m. – Viewers: #3, 6.12 million; A18-49: #3, 1.6/ 4) and granddaddy Law & Order (Viewers: #1, 8.05 million; A18-49: #1, 2.4/ 6). Although Law & Order did win the 10 p.m. hour, its performance is nothing to crow about.
Third overall in both total viewers and adults 18-49 was CBS’ line-up of Big Brother 9 (Viewers: #4, 6.04 million; A18-49: #3, 2.1/ 6), a repeat of Criminal Minds (Viewers: #2, 6.93 million; A18-49: #4, 1.5/ 4) and a repeat of CSI: NY (Viewers: #2, 7.46 million; A18-49: #2, 1.8/ 5). Now that Chelsia is gone, there is one less obnoxious person is the Big Brother house. And that, unfortunately, is the problem with this current edition of Big Brother. There is absolutely no one to root for.
ABC was fourth in total viewers but second overall among adults 18-49 with its combination of Wife Swap (Viewers: #3, 6.32 million; A18-49: #2, 2.3/ 7), a repeat of Supernanny (Viewers: #4, 5.80 million; A18-49: #2, 2.2/ 6) and Men in Trees (Viewers: #3, 5.61 million; A18-49: #3, 1.5/ 4). Had ABC not mishandled the scheduling of the still addictive Men in Trees, more viewers might currently know it airs Wednesday at 10 p.m.
Capping off the evening was CW duo America’s Top Model (Viewers: #5, 3.50 million; A18-49: #4, 1.7/ 5), which remains down year-to-year, and a repeat of Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious (Viewers: #5, 1.72 million; A18-49: #5, 0.8/ 2).
1. Maybe it's me, but every time Natalie opens her mouth, I keep wondering how far Cheri Oteri's career has fallen post-SNL. I half-expect Will Ferrell to drop by the house so he and Natalie can do a cheerleader skit.
2. On last night's show, CBS appeared to censor markings on both sides of James' "Pi" chest tattoo. Anyone know what those markings are?
It can't end soon enough for CBS. Next week, most of the shows will start new episodes again and having BB9 bring down those premiere is not a good thing.
Perhaps a move to Saturdays (from the wednesday slot) is needed.

Really? After beating a fellow procedural repeat by 33% in the demo? And for reference, CSI:Miami usually repeats in the 2.5-2.7 range and isn't facing a fellow procedural when it does that... considering how much stronger CSI:M is in first-run, I would say this is pretty darn good for L&O.

It's scheduled to run for the rest of the month, I think. And I'd have to guess if CBS was going to move it, they would have done it already.

It will air up til sweeps and then it is done. I highly doubt they will move the "live" results shows to Saturdays and you're right, it does bring down their lineup but airing repeat number 4,000 of the Wednesday dramas weren't helping them either. Procedurals repeat well but even they get fatigued after a while.
They're all the same. Does the name really matter.
CSI:NY is not as strong as CBS will lead yout to believe. I bet Law and Order competes heavily in the viewers column here in the coming weeks.

Yes, 4 months of reruns are starting to take their toll. But, they are still doing better than other dramas in repeat mode.
Can't wait until next week though. New Episodes on almost every night of the week!

Oh ya! New episodes of the same thing night after night... I'll stick with Big Brother, but enjoy. At least something is new again.
