'Friday Night Lights' Finishes Third Season With Above Average P2+ Viewer Count; Coming Back to Peacock for Two More Seasons
'Friday Night Lights', the full-hearts comeback kid of quality television, finished its third season last night with ratings that were consistent to say the least and a viewership that was the second highest level in the third season (topped only by the third season preem).
This cost-efficient, critic-pleasing series (thanks to its unique partnering arrangement with DirecTV) has been a steady performer in the LIVE+7's (averaging 4,648,000 P2+ viewers) which must have influenced NBC's thinking.
I suggest that NBC might want to give 'Friday Night Lights' a chance at the Sunday at 8 pm slot next season after 'NFL Sunday Night Football' finishes its run. This exceptional drama could do very nicely in the slot once occupied by 'American Dreams'.

Terminator is definitelty a great show for sci fi fans... Too bad the first few eps of the series were not very original, and filled with lame fighting robot action sequences.. I really think that is what turned off a lot of people, even me, but I stuck in there and am happy I did.
I do agree that fox is waiting to see how the movie does to officially cancle the show.(Kudos to fox letting the show go this far with under 4 mil viewers)
A cable channel revived it for 3 specials to air over Eater. But a lot of rumours have been going around saying it may be brought back to series. And when Dave Execs see those numnbers I'm sure they'll comtemplate the idea.

Red Dwarf (Dave - Cable): 2.4M (Including the ratings for Dave +1)

I have watched 'Red Dwarf' over here on PBS and loved it. What special and joyful news that they have revived the series.
PBS is an American version of BBC, only much more rarified. I'm not sure they've carried the revival special yet though, at least not on my local affiliate...PBS affiliates have the unique power to customize which network programs they broadcast to their local markets.
Ghost Whisperer is having a great season. Numbers, meanwhile, is definitely showing its age. CBS still remains strong on Friday nights, though. All they need is a better 9pm show for the fall, because Flashpoint, under a 2.0 demo, just isn't cutting it.
Friday Night Lights did go off pretty well for the seasons. Howie Do It has been disappointing, though. I wish next season, NBC would more aggressively program the night. Leave shows like FNL to Saturdays, and put some shows on Fridays that can actually garner an audience.
Meanwhile, Sarah Conner ended its season lower than FNL, which really says something I think. I read somewhere the creator/producer is sure it'll be back for another season - you can't be serious. I wonder how Prison Break will do next week. I'm thinking it'll get the same 5 million it was getting on Mondays. Dollhouse could benefit from the extra audience, but it'll definitely be a different one from PB.

On a side note, I think NBC should try Life on the same time slot for the fall season, since FNL won't be back on NBC until the Winter...and while Life is very far from a hit, it already has some built audience...
Absolutelty, Bruce. Oddly, I am normally addicted to family drama, but I just cannot get into FNL. But I know that many others have.

I've gottent the impression it's not one of your shows, and you're not one to swoon over critical acclaim, yet you seem to accept and realize that this show has tapped into something that has been very entertaining to at least a few million of us.
I doubt CBS would put the NCIS spin-off on Friday, but it can't hurt to suggest it. Could be a good way to beef up the evening.

Dollhouse premieres in the UK next month and there is quite a lot of hype for it over here however I doubt it'll even gett 100K. SciFi UK still won't confirm for me if they will be showing the 13th episode, TV Execs are a pain in the butt when it comes to answering simple questions.
Marc do you really think CBS would put the NCIS spin-off on Friday's?
I would Kudo's The CW for managing to keep 100% of their demo all night, but the demo really couldn't get any lower. So how long do we reckon it'll be before The CW goes under?
