Marc, any chance you could post SCC's half hour breakdown?

Thanks Smiler

With Prison Break, the problem is how many times can you escape prison? Maybe that is why the whole Cherry Hill spin off was created, to try to bring some originality to the series.

For those wondering about Mis/Guided, I just read where part of their creative team was let go. So I wouldn't expect Mis/Guided to help out ABC anytime soon. It's not likely to even air.

Deal or No Deal/American Gladiators are holding well. I agree with whoever said NBC isn't in any hurry to settle the strike. There was a quote done by NBC that mentioned that reality shows are going to take over scripted spots. The NBC that will come out of the strike will be very reality heavy and for good reason.

Prison Break is never going to be a heavy hitter for FOX. They can try to promote it heavily but not even 8 million for the return isn't good. As I predicted, SCC dropped over 40%. This show is falling and very soon will be at least at Prison Break levels. And no, FOX can't be happy. This is supposed to be their mega blockbuser to make up for the loss of 24 this season. It's not happening. And with all the special effects, it has to be very expensive to produce. At least double the budget of Prison Break for just 2 million more viewers?

If there wasn't a strike, Aliens in America and Girlfriends would be cancelled. CW isn't even in the game ratings wise.

Off topic, I am looking for screen name suggestions again. Since FOX has decided to say goodbye to K-Ville and American Gladiators has already been welcomed.

PB is making FOX happy with those numbers. It does respactable in viewers, very good in demos, DVD sales are excellent, it's a blockbuster overseas. It's not going anywhere for now

I totally agree. The ratings are stable and Dvd sales pretty much excellent and overseas , believe me, its HUGEEE....i mean really Huge!(You can`t even imagine how big this show is in France, and I`m not even french)

Prison Break is one of the most popular show to air in recent years....fact.

No way does FOX cancel PRISON BREAK-they'll find a way to keep the story going.

Which is kind of sad... I think Prison Break would have worked much better if they had simply planned on 1-2 years and ended it.

I don't understand Holly...it sounds like you're a fan..why would you want it to have only run 2 years?

It's huge all over Europe not only in France. I think there hasn't been a show so talked about in Europe since The X Files (strangely another FOX show)

Last year 24 averaged 13 million viewers and 5.0 in the demo. In 2006 it averaged 13.8 million and 5.7 in the demo.

Since that is the case, SCC is not doing all that bad then. It might be a few million viewers off of what 24 earned, but its demo is almost the same. SCC is not doing that bad.

Peace!!

Well your opinion. I`m enjoying Season 3 a lot. After some 15-16 episodes last season, I was like just hoping they are thrown back in Prison....the prison thing is too attractive and the show was missing something. Two escapes is fair....Of course if they were to be thrown once more in prison (which won`t happen)...well then it would suck but this second time in prison is totally Ok to me and is what I wanted.

The premise gets stretched too thin. Like WelcomeToKVille said, how many times can you break out of prison? I think the show lost a lot when they were on the run in season 2. It was trying to gain the original feeling back in season 3, but I'm not sure how successful it was. I would prefer to have a show (especially one like this) follow a plan and end well than have the networks try to squeeze every last viewer out of it.

yeah huge in Australia and Asia too (they wanted to do one in Japan). And even in Mauritius (small island in Indian ocean), I have a cousin there and I can unsure people there have never been so passionated about TV show.
So Fox canceling prison break would so dumb.

The thing to remember is 24 is going on Season 7 while SCC is only past episode 2. If it's only getting 10 mil and there's more drops to come, it doesn't look good for SCC.

I dont see what all this talk about PB being huge is about.
Yeh, its popular compared to its ratings, but I'll have you know that the OFFICIAL top 3 most popular shows worldwide are
CSI:MIAMI
LOST
DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES

And you apparantly havent heared of a show so talked about since the X Files? PB isn't doing as good as you might think. Its lost its charm, and slowly its loosing fans.

That is the top 3 from 2005. Right now there is not a show even close to PB in popularity across Europe
