I'm glad to see Prison Break beat Dance Wars in the demo.
I agree OR should be labeled a loser because of low ratings if not disappointing only because at least it grew from its lead in. NFTU is the worst lead in any show can have. At least give OR a better lead, NFTU is not doing this show any favors. Too bad because last nights episode of OR is was the best of the season IMO. Too bad the #'s don't reflect that.
i think SCC ran into a huge problem yesterday, and thats the fact that anything Terminator is better as a movie, and not having to come back week after week to get things resolved.
The premiere was pretty exciting and kept me glued to my tv for the full hour. The episode yesterday was pretty dull and boring, and left me losing interest after about 25 minutes.
And honestly, with something like the Terminator, I want to see the action unfold over the course of 2 hours, not the same amount of action over the course of 2 months. And I am sure many others feel the same way.
So, I guess what I am saying is that SCC is pretty much doomed..
On a better note, Prison Break has been holding very steady in the ratings all season.
In time period-premiere news, Fox drama Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles got off to a positive start, with 10.07 million viewers (#2) and a 4.3/10 among adults 18-49 (#2) from 9-10 p.m.
Although I expected is to do better in total viewers (at least 12 mill), no one expected to stay at the levels it got Sunday night.
The true test will be next Monday. Will it have a big drop or stay at the 10 million level.
Dance Wars: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann held very well from last week to this week. With the state ABC is in now, it is definately a positive. There will be a second season announcement coming soon.
OR and NFTU should just wrap up as soon as possible and then ABC should dump them.
For those wondering about Mis/Guided, I just read where part of their creative team was let go. So I wouldn't expect Mis/Guided to help out ABC anytime soon. It's not likely to even air.
Deal or No Deal/American Gladiators are holding well. I agree with whoever said NBC isn't in any hurry to settle the strike. There was a quote done by NBC that mentioned that reality shows are going to take over scripted spots. The NBC that will come out of the strike will be very reality heavy and for good reason.
Prison Break is never going to be a heavy hitter for FOX. They can try to promote it heavily but not even 8 million for the return isn't good. As I predicted, SCC dropped over 40%. This show is falling and very soon will be at least at Prison Break levels. And no, FOX can't be happy. This is supposed to be their mega blockbuser to make up for the loss of 24 this season. It's not happening. And with all the special effects, it has to be very expensive to produce. At least double the budget of Prison Break for just 2 million more viewers?
If there wasn't a strike, Aliens in America and Girlfriends would be cancelled. CW isn't even in the game ratings wise.
Off topic, I am looking for screen name suggestions again. Since FOX has decided to say goodbye to K-Ville and American Gladiators has already been welcomed.
Easily. Last year's premiere did over 37 million against mostly repeats and CBS' older skewing dramas, so I would expect similar numbers this time around. It could drop slightly but people never seem to tire of the horrible auditions early on.

The show is funny and is catching on. Just imagine if they had new episodes to air right now. I bet it could start pulling in 10 million +, had the strike not happened.

If that number holds colse, it will be the highest rated airing since the series went into repeats in Mid-November.
Welcome to the Captain will have to perform well to achieve these REPEAT numbers BBT is getting.

PB is making FOX happy with those numbers. It does respactable in viewers, very good in demos, DVD sales are excellent, it's a blockbuster overseas. It's not going anywhere for now
SCC did alot worse than I was expecting, but alot better than a few certain someones were also expecting.
If it can maintain these numbers it should be alright, but I see it dropping to 9 million next week. Its a shame.
The demo is pretty amazing though considering it only had 10 million. If it can stay over 10/11 mil, and keep the demo over 4 it may just make it. We may see a few budget cuts though.

I think Idol will be lower than in previous years because of how terrible the top 12 were last year. I think the number will be below 30 million, at about 28 million.
I really think Idol has to have some real talent this year in order to get the massive ratings back because if the final 12 is like last years, we might see the show slip below 20 million at times this year..
