Univision soundly beats CBS in 18-34 demos. And they don't have Moonlight

Growth of 1.18 million viewers, and .7 in the demo is impressive. Honorable Mention is most definitely deserved.

Medium did well, but the growth may not have been that high. DOND usually does it's best in it's last half-hour. It's possible that there may have been a drop from DOND rather than growth.

Since CBS has such a problem with 8P Mondays -- do you think that Two and Half men could move into that slot and lead off the night? NBC annoyingly did that to Friends, even though it would have gotten higher ratings at 9.

Also, why doesn't dancing move into the 9p slot -- it clearly gets more viewers as the night goes on...

and if you haven't heard -- britney's back on mother next monday...

I don't think it will. I think ABC has to be disappointed by this spring's results. They'll likely rest it this fall and then bring er back in January (perhaps as a Dancing replacement).

It needs a break more than anything. Resting it this fall and perhaps even til March next year is the best decision.

If Rules of Engagement was slotted regularly into the 8pm spot, it would get worse results that BBT or HIMYM. CBS knows that and wisely keeps RoE where it is.

Kudos to HIMYM, 2.5 Men, Medium, One Tree Hill, Bones, House, and Dancing. Rules and CSI:Miami are both disappointing imo as is Gossip Girl (although the 8pm slot probably plays a role here) and DOND should get credit for holding on against very tough competition.

So kudos to House and "disappionting numbers for CSI Miami? Very objcetive like usual

Its all about timeslot. House did well considering all it was facing and airing on a new night after months of not having a new episode. Miami on the other hand, faces modestly successful Medium and the fairly weak Bachelor and its bleeding viewers like hell. People are finally realizing imo that this show sucks on almost every level. If you're looking for a procedural, stick with CSI or NCIS.

Wlcmblueblood... is usually one of those that when a show performs lower at 8pm automatically thinks it dying. Rules of Engagement would most certainly do worse than BBT at 8 and we all know that the demo for BBT and HIMYM would be much much better than Rules had they ever gotten the plump post-2.5 Men slot. CBS was wise when these shows debuted though and saw potential and slotted them in the 8pm hour and left the weaker stuff to air post-2.5 Men so they could be propped up.

You forgot which airs at 9pm and which at 10pm, if i'm remembering right there are nore people watching TV at 9 than at 10.
Both CSIM and House had very disappointing results last night.

Aside from 2.5 Men and HIMYM, CBS does not have a comedy that would perform better than BBT on Mondays at 8 and there isn't a single comedy on the other nets that would either including precious NBC overhyped stuff like the Office and Earl and 30 Rock.

The way Fox has played schedule schizo this year with House its still doing fine. Had it still been airing in its old 9pm Tuesday slot, it would probably be beating Idol. CSIM has been on the downhill slide for some time. The results are really starting to be noticeable now as they are for fellow mediocre procedurals like Cold Case (which btw airs at 9pm) and CSI:NY.

She's playing a character who is supposed to look like the dumb blond who all the geeks drool over. That's the point of the show.

The two shows are close to the same in ratings (HIMYM is slightly stronger, especially in demo) and they would reverse if the timeslots were reversed again.

As I said before, I like and watch both shows, but I think BBT deserves fairness, because it is CBS that gave it the tougher time slot, and a lot of people here do not recognize that.
Given how much shoveling the BBT fans did about their show being a superior performer and refusing to acknowledge the timeslot difference when their show had the easier slot, it is hard to 'feel sorry' for the BBT fans now. It may be a hard lesson for the BBT fans, but it should be one they remember. Now, all that is needed is to talk CBS into slotting RoE in that timeslot next Fall so the RoE fans can learn their lesson. Wink

Isn't this the same network you are always saying is being ran by a bunch of CHIMPS? Wink
