You are totally wrong, but you are certainly entitled to your opinion. I think you should comment on networks you understand like FOX.

I'm not going into the same arguement again, but the comedies are under-delivering again. If you can't see the potential lost, then there is not much I can say.

Please explain to me how BBT finishes second in the time slot in the demo every single week, and yet is a failure to you. It outdoes every other sitcom at 8:00 the entire week. Don't you understand that 8:00 in the Spring is an impossible time slot. Please explain what in the world you are talking about. Since BBT beat Bones by a whole lot in the demo at 8:00, are we to cancel Bones, too ? Please explain yourself to us, because I have no idea what you are talking about.

Cause the cw thinks that they can become a hit off of Gossip Girl.

Just out of curiousity, lets say that CBS moves comedies from 9 to 10 PM. Do you believe BBT or a similar 8:00 comedy would receive a benefit after a year on air and forming pretty much its core audience?

I like and watch both shows, but these shows get basically the same ratings. Look how DWTS added 2 million viewers from 8:00 to 8:30. This time of year the 8:00 spot is impossible to get ratings. I bet if HIMYM and BBT switched time slots their ratings would reverse again.

Well, I have to wonder how long they will go on thinking this before realizing they are wrong.

The show has (2) episodes left this season. Even if the finale manages 2.50 and 1.3-4 in the demo, and even if the CW releases a super nice box set on DVD....

the show will return in the fall ...to....

2.20 million viewers and 1.1 or something in the demo.

Nothing is going to change.

I really don't know, but all I can say is you and a lot of others give this show no slack for being on at 8;00. It is a big difference this time of year. It beat every single other 8:00 sitcom for the week. It finishes second in the 18-49 demo, what can it do if people do not watch TV early in the evening ?

Also, answer my question about Bones vs. BBT. If Bones got a 2.7 demo for the hour I bet it was no higher than 2.5 in the 8:00 hour, so BBT beat it by getting 2.8. Why is Bones so successful yet, BBT is not. A 2.8 demo for 8:00 finishing second is not bad.

I agree - Medium should be on the winners list this week. It improved on its lead-in by a good amount. It was a good showing against CSI: Miami.

A few reasons why. CBS' Monday is higher profile than FOX' Monday. While FOX tests mostly new shows and experimental scheduling on Mondays and doesn't have any track record for Monday, (they have gone through at least three full lineup changes on Monday this year alone) CBS has Two and A Half Men, CBS Miami, and ROE (as much as its hated here) that have been very solid performers in their timeslot, HIMYM to a degree. Bones has also moved around the schedule while the CBS Monday have stayed put on the same day and with exception of the 8, 8:30 switch, same time frame. The fact that Bones can keep an audience being moved everwhere on the schedule is something to note. Very few shows could survive with all the timeslot changes Bones has gone through. In addition, you can't really compare a drama with a comedy that don't compete for the same audience. Instead, it makes more sense to compare within the network and look at the potential within the current lineup of shows and what is being developed. Bones is the second highest rated drama within the network which brings attention to it.

Oh, so when HIMYM was at 8:00 and it got ratings below BBT every single week it was still performing to a degree, and now that the two reversed time slots and the ratings reversed BBT is performing badly and HIMYM is okay. Give me a break. I will bet anything I have that if you reversed HIMYM and BBT again the ratings would reverse. I maintain these two shows get the same ratings. In fact they both got and 8 share. Less people are watching at 8:00, and you and others including Marc are giving BBT no slack for that.

As I said before, I like and watch both shows, but I think BBT deserves fairness, because it is CBS that gave it the tougher time slot, and a lot of people here do not recognize that.

I fully expect that CBS will bring back all 5 of its current sitcoms (including Old Christine). It will program atleat 1 additional hour of comedy, perhaps 2 hours.

I think 8pm Hour on Sunday is just Begging for sitcoms from any network. You would get a traditional leadin from 60 Minutes, but get the channels switchers at 8pm. The 2nd hour could be either the Wednesday at 8pm hour or, my favorite, a second hour at 9pm on Sunday.

Comedies have been more successful in the last couple of years, for CBS launching new shows. (Shark is the only Exception to that) So why not exploit that and expand the sitcome offerings.

Speaking of Samantha Who?, here is a prediction: Christina Applegate will win the Emmy next fall for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. She is reminiscent of Mary Tyler Moore, isn’t she?

The girl has come a lonnnnng way from MARRIED...in fact when I see Christina as SAMANTHA-there is not a moment where I see Kelly Bundy in there. She's such a good actress that she is able to completly differentiate her roles.

Deal or No Deal (Viewers: 8.36 million; A18-49: 2.5/ 6 from 8-10 p.m.), which was telecast from the Philippines, and Medium (Viewers: #2, 9.54 million; A18-49: #2, 3.2/ 8

Growth of 1.18 million viewers, and .7 in the demo is impressive. Honorable Mention is most definitely deserved.

OK, those Gossip Girl numbers are HIDEOUS -- I can NOT understand how or why the CW keeps pumping money into this dying horse. Just because Perez Hilton mentions the show once in a while, does NOT mean this show is a hit amongst teens -- earth to CW: GG is a typical, OC-esque show. NO ONE CARES ABOUT IT.

Alright i know you guys say CW have no viewers and they really dont when it comes to live television but the DVR time shift should be considered in my opinion cause then the numbers look alright.

For instance last week OTH was 2.57 but with the shift it became 3.2 mill and the CW has 4 shows all in the top 10 but yet gossip girl is not on there.

I think she is a good actress too; she already has an Emmy for a guest role on Friends. But I think either America will repeat or Tina Fey will win the best lead actress emmy. Though Julia Louis Dreyfuss could submit a really good tape.

Christina Applegate was great as Kelly Bundy also. It's not as easy as it seems to play the stupid blonde. Just look at Kelly Cuoco. She isn't good at all in BBT
