P.S. What on earth happened to "Earl" and "30 Rock?" And, more importantly, why won't it hurry up and happen to "The Office?"

Um, because The Office is better than everything else on the networks combined?

Nah, that can't be it.

Even though it IS.

Shocked by Vivas #s... Guess people do listen to critics.

So does that mean we'll get a press release about Jericho on Sundays at 8PM starting in November?

Supernatural #s are disappointing.

Glad the hour versions of the office are over.. they have been dragging...

CSI and Greys.... when was the last time CSI beat Grey's in a head to head new episodes by that much?

PDs should take a good long look at Ugly Betty. Don't get too quirky or you'll lose viewers. I didn't miss an episode for most of the first half of last year and then it got SUPER quirky and I lost interest. Still on the Tivo and I will get to it eventually...

I'm pretty sure DH's supermarket shootout ep in early season 3 was ahead of the original Grey's from that week, but I don't know if it's happened since then.

Last night's UB was frenetic and had a strange vibe, but still strong. Since all shows seem to have shown a decline, I don't know if I would call UB's decline rapid or anything like that. At about the numbers for the end of last season. My Name is Earl is the show seeming to be declining, and I don't watch it anymore.

Perhaps the only people watching were those in retirement & Nursing homes. The Staff just turned on the TV and left them.

I think some of those institutions will get visits today from local health officials for neglect.

VL was definitely bad. What a waste of Hugh Jackman and Madchen Amick!

But a special level of hell must be reserved the programmer who, 15 minutes into the episode where the lead is needing $1 million to open his casino, puts in a preview for Sunday....

...of the Casino Opening! That's almost like a preview during "Murder She Wrote" of next weeks episode of Jessica saying 'the Butler did it". Mad

Where do they find these people? Roll Eyes

That tribe has to be one of the dumbest ever. I hope it comes back to bite them in the butt.

Earl and Betty are both dying fast. Season low for The Office, but still highly respectable, and its young-male audience may have taken a hit from baseball. Big Shots is settled into upper-40s retention, but that's still not good enough long-term.

Fox would be on the Thursday map if they could air the ALCS every week!

Betty is not dying. Last season it had episodes in the lower 8 million teritory. Actually UB it's holding pretty good. I mean look at PD, it has a chance of droping below UB in its only 4th episode

VL's crash and burn is getting all of the attention, but this race above is the one with the most meaning. We are seeing two of the biggest shows on TV battling head-to-head and it seems that CSI is slowly gaining the advantage.

I didn't watch the last couple weeks of Grey's Anatomy, but I did turn it on when I decided that I just couldn't sit through my timeshifted dose of Earl. It only took about 5 minutes of Grey's before I turned that odd as well. With CSI doing 'the big storyline' right now and Grey's being the same old tripe as always, this race may just have CSI ahead in the demo soon.

-Adults 18-49:
ABC: 4.5 rating/12 share, CBS: 4.4/12,

If CBS hadn't screwed up and aired VL last night, they could have dominated the demo numbers.
