Yeah but so far the only night without a show breaking 10 million was saturday. In fact many times besides fri and sat there is not a night without a show breaking 15 million.

I completely agree with you. Clearly the numbers will be lower and lower.
Who would've thought the best new show would have 12 million viewers?

As for wed probably CM will be a 15 million show

I just read the numbers. I am waiting for Marc's numbers, but I can't believe how bad it bombed. It did worse than wrestling. K-Ville repeats actually might outperform the season premiere of Band Search.

ABC's "Women's Murder Club" stayed fairly strong in its second week on the air, but Friday belonged to CBS.

CBS averaged a 5.7 rating/10 share fro the night, beating out ABC's 5.3/9 for the lead. NBC took third at 5.0/9. The CW's 2.7/5 was good for fourth, while FOX trailed with a 2.1/4.

In the adults 18-49 demographic, CBS' 2.4 rating topped the list. NBC finished second at 2.0, topping ABC's 1.8. FOX averaged 1.5 and The CW 1.4.

"Deal or No Deal," 6.2/12, led the 8 p.m. hour for NBC. CBS got a 5.8/11 from "Ghost Whisperer" to finish second. ABC came in third with "20/20." "Friday Night Smackdown!," 2.4/5, put The CW in fourth. The premiere of "The Next Great American Band" on FOX was far from a sellout, drawing a 2.0/4.

"Women's Murder Club," 6.5/12, moved ABC to the front of the pack at 9 p.m. CBS stayed in second with "Moonlight," 5.1/9, while "Friday Night Lights," 3.7/7, took third for NBC. "Smackdown!" kept The CW in fourth, and "American Band" improved a little to 2.3/4.

At 10 p.m., "Numb3rs" scored a 6.3/12 for CBS. "Las Vegas" posted a 5.0/10 for NBC, and "Men in Trees" came in at 4.4/8 for ABC.

I don't understand why FOX and CBS picked up American Band and Viva Laughlin. These 2 shows had no chance of bringing decent numbers

American Band was supposed to bring in the Idol crowd. Looks like it didn't.

I can only imagine FOX wanted to burn the show off.... first off why Friday night? and second after seeing how bad Nashville bombed on a Friday why still keep it on Friday....

Viva was part of Hugh Jackmans deal with CBS... He had three shows and they paid him and part of the deal was they would greenlight one of his shows... makes you wonder about the other two

Still think American Band makes sense out of Idol... let the Idol crowd watch Idol then watch American Band.... then when you have a crowd move it... stupid to open it on a Friday with no help.

Couldn't they just make a cheap reality show with Hugh Jackman chasing a kangaroo or something? It seems like cheaper alternatives were out there.

I don't think anyone thought (including FOX) that Amrican Band would bring in even 1/4 of the audience of American Idol. Heck, they were probably hoping it would do 1/4 of what So You Think You Can Dance manages to do. It didn't even do that. No shock with this one. An expected bomb.
