Well I said this last year, and I'll say it again, if somebody got rid of the freakin Chen Bot then it'd be a huge relief on the show, but apparently she's married to the big wig.

Actor John C. McGinley, best known for his role as the sarcastic Dr. Perry Cox on the long-running network comedy “Scrubs,” was announced July 16 as the grand marshal for the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard on Sunday, July 27 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Big Brother is definatey on its last season. 3rd in viewers, 4th in demos is not a good at all. However, we all knew it was in trouble last week when it had that large half hour drop. The public just isn't into Big Brother anymore (probably because the winter season's cast was horrible).

You both are dreaming. BB will not end. What else are they going to put on next summer? Very few NEW reality shows on CBS catch fire...PIRATE MASTER for instance...
Also as said before as the number of Houseguests dwindle in the house the ratings pick up. It happens every season.
And Julie wasn't even on last night so how could she affect the ratings?
I don't see BB picking up this year at all since in a few weeks, the Olympics start up and is going to dominate the TV ratings. It's going to be a long season for CBS and BB. One things for sure, the rumored mid-season winter edition of BB is definately not happening now with these ratings, unless they move it to CW (which has been rumored also).

ABC has a real weakness in the 9 PM hour. I Survived A Japanese Game Show isn't cutting it. They have nothing to replace it this year, but next year, something else needs to go there.

Wipeout still did well against the All Star Game. If it is back to 9 million next weeks, it has nothing to worry about.
VOTE IN THE PIF NETWORK GAME: http://pifeedback.com/eve/foru...93910104/m/854104282 TONIGHT: ---> NEW <--- EPISODES OF GREATEST DAY, AND MEGA DODGEBALL. PLUS BACK FOR GOOD, GETTING SOME, THE ONLINE LIFE, AND YOU'VE GOT THE WRONG MAN! ALSO, ROSIE'S ROUNDTABLE (WITH BETTY WHITE!) AND GIRALDO LIVE!
As I've said before, BB will remain a part of the CBS family as long as...
1) Les Moonves is still employed by CBS 2) Mr. Moonves remains happily married to Ms. Chen
I can see some people proclaiming "doom and gloom," particularly after the show is starting to lose viewer interest in other countries. Britain is starting to sour on it, and the Australian version is wrapping up its run this year. Also, CBS may finally have summer alternatives to BB with Greatest American Dog and Million Dollar Password (though CBS will likely move MDP to the midseason).
But BB will find a way to survive a little longer.
Other ratings thoughts...
-- Great numbers for the All-Star Game, but how about starting the game at 8 or so? When it's the second inning and it's 9:10pm ET, there's a problem.
-- CFF is surprisingly holding well ratings wise, and appears to be doing better in the demo than Nashville Star, which NBC gives 10X the promotion to. I could see NBC bringing this back as a midseason replacement, but I'd much rather see John O'Hurley take the reigns on the nighttime version, instead of the over-caffeinated Roker.
-- JGS lost a great deal of its Wipeout lead-in, and lost to BB in the overall. I can't see ABC renewing it, unless the Alphabet opts to simply film a Japanese-style game show in Los Angeles.

I swear I thought you were announcing his death, when I started reading your post. I'm glad I was mistaken.
