Here are the fast affiliate results for Monday, July 14, 2008. The numbers are broken out by network overall, and via each half-hour in the order of ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and the CW.
The Mole with The Bacheloertte as a lead in 2 weeks ago: 3.95 million viewers, 1.6/5
The Mole without the lead in of The Bachelorette: 3.62 million viewers, 1.6/6

The night was down for the networks overall last night due to two factors :
The Home Run Derby on ESPN is very popular, which affected the night overall, and most importantly The Closer on TNT killed the 9:00 shows. Even the mighty Two and Half Men lost 1 million viewers. The Closer is huge, it sets cable records for viewers.

Yet, The Mole actually gained both viewers and demo on the half hour. I don't believe that happened when The Bachelorette was it's lead-in.
Yes, you are correct.

I think the Home Run Derby had more to do with the loss in viewers and demo for 2.5 Men. 2.5 Men viewers dont seem like they would watch The Closer.

I disagree. The Home Run Derby was only opposite Men in the East and Central time zones, and not in the West. The Closer was up against Men in all the time zones. They were expecting between 9-10 million viewers for The Closer, which is absolutely huge for a cable drama. Numbers like that would bring down any show.
FOX Still the One in A18-49 After 12 Days of 2008 July Sweep; CBS Most Viewed
FOX, which has been game on virtually every night of the July Sweep (can any other network claim so?), has built up a comfortable A18-49 advantage over the other nets, and it now averages a 1.9 in A18-49, followed by NBC in second with 1.6, ABC third with 1.5, CBS fourth with 1.4, The CW fifth with 0.6, and MyNetworkTV last with a 0.3 average. Year-over-year, ABC the only network up in A18-49's (by just 5%), whereas all the other networks are showing A18-49 declines from last July. Overall, A18-49 is down 11% across the six nets from last July, and the largest year-over-year declines are being experienced by The CW (down 23%) and MyNetworkTV (down 29%).
After 12 nights, CBS holds on to its customary lead in viewership, with FOX in second, NBC third, ABC fourth, CW fifth and MNT is last. In viewers, only ABC is showing a year-over-year increase compared to last years July Sweep (although CBS and NBC are even to last year), and overall, viewership is down by only 2% year-over-year from last July (especially surprising given that this year included the low-viewer Fourth of July holiday). The biggest year-over-year decline in viewership is being experienced by The CW, which is down an alarming 22%.
I will update the tables later today when the weekend household and MyNetworkTV numbers are published.

The data for the past weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) plus last nights numbers are based on FAST national numbers. Previous nights and last years comparative numbers are based upon final Nielsen numbers.
Nota Bene. This year's Sweep includes the low-HUT Fourth of July whereas last year's Sweep started on July 5th and did not include the Fourth of July.
I agree. It does skew young. Perhaps a cable channel will take notice? I think it could perhaps do something for Fox reality or maybe even a move to a net like FX or Spike would be a good idea...

I wouldn't lose any sleep if it did but would much rather see the very very bland spinoffs melt down first.

Absolutley loved last night's Saving Grace premiere. If you're a fan of crime dramas and not watching this one, you're missing out on some really great TV. The previews for the NYPD Blue guy's new show Raising the Bar look great too!
