I am very pleased with the mon. abc numbers. I am rather surprised that the networks didnt go to the news depts. to fill their sched. holes. If Eli Stone doesnt cut it after Lost I think they would be wise to bring back either Primetime Live or 20/20 to fill the time slot after Lost.

Hindsight being 20/20, I think a better set-up for this season would have had Sara sent to Prison and Micheal (still on the run) trying to break her out. The fact that the actress became pregnant between the seasons would have only ratcheted up the suspense.
Fox could send it to it's Friday Death Slot, but I think the viewers would go down to under 4 million.
I don't think (anymore) Fridays is a death slot. Bones is proving that its not.
The problems with Fridays have been the shows placed there, not the night itself.
We knew two years ago when Bernie Mac was scoring first place victories in the demo that Fridays weren't a dead zone. Trading Spouses and Nanny 911 have done well there for them in the past too which makes it all the more confusing why they were never allowed to just live there again.

Actually, its Lost that will run out of eps first, not Eli Stone as ES has 13 episodes compared to 8 Lost eps.

PH2 should easily crush the CW in the 9pm hour.
MNTV has been competitive on the night while CW was in reruns. CW still had an hour of reruns last night. Still, why are people expecting Paradise Hotel to translate ratings on FOX from a couple yeasrs ago into the same kind of ratings on MNTV?

If T:SCC holds at 9 million viewers for the rest of its run, Would you scale PB down to just 13 hours as a Fall only series?
Keep T:SSC throught the seasona and 24 In the Winter/Spring.
Well, since 24 will be ready so much earlier, is there a possibility of running two "days" next season?
Maybe if they changed the name to "18"
I think it would depend on if FOX orders the completion of the episodes that were to air this Winter/Spring AND orders a full 24 for next Winter/Spring.
IIRC, 24 had about 8 episodes done before the strike.

Old Christine or HIMYM?
Clearly, Old Christine is the one that would be gone. It did well when it first ran behind 2&1/2Men, but never recovered from last season's timeslot change. Along those lines, CBS would be wise not to move Rules of Engagement anywhere else, lest it do the same.
meanwhile, you can keep kidding yourself about how strong BBT is, but it barely outdoes HIMYM in a higher HUT timeslot and closer proximity to 2&1/2Men.

As networks slowly move to a year round programming approach, why not air Terminator:SCC uninterrupted for half the year and 24 uninterrupted for the other half?
For a FOX show it's not that bad. The important thing is that it gets basically the same numbers week after week
I wonder if those same 7.5 million would move, with the series, to a Friday night slot?
Pair it up with Bones and FOX could, potentially, have a night winning combination.
Putting a serialized show on a Friday night would be a terrible move. What FOX should do is build a drama night on Sundays and move the animated comedies to Thursdays. Put 5th Grader and Lyrics on Friday nights. This, IMO, would improve ratings on all 3 nights.

CBS had 5 hours last week and none realy did much in the ratings.
20/20 did well because of the subject matter, which is always hit & miss. Only 60 Minutes is a proven ratings getter in the world of primetime News 'zines
