CBS The New Adventures of Old Christine (season premiere) Viewers: 9.33 million (#3), A18-49: 3.1/ 7 (#4)
Not a horrible showing for Old Christine, but you would think it would have done better. only 76% retention out of a repeat of 2.5 men.
At least The Captain was able to grow out of HIMYM... something even Old Christine had trouble doing.
I think competition had something to do with it. The Captain didn't really grow a whole lot considering it was facing the sinking Gladiators and Prison Break. Dance Wars is very older skewing. The Natalie Holloway special may have played an effect but still disappointing for Christine.

Well, mushu, no it wouldn't but I think regular episodes of 20/20 on Mondays until DWTS and The Bachelor return would be a nice improvement for ABC over the NFTU/October Road combo. Like I said, OR can finish its run on Friday nights, and nobody cares about NFTU.

I agree 20/20 will do better than Notes or October Road. Of course, what wouldn't???
Well, its confirmed. New Adventures of Christine is officially a dud. 25% loss of audience out of a repeat of 2 1/2 Men.
I think the real question will be is who will get the axe for next Season.
Old Christine or HIMYM?
One MAY stick around to start up a 3rd hour of comedy as a lead in to a new show, but both will not make the cut, unless there is NO pilot season.
Well, both shows deserve to be canned. But CBS, for whatever reason, seems to give preferential treatment to HIMYM, even with its sub par performance since its debut. As we saw with Christine, they held it back for midseason this year. So I doubt it will be back.
