Honestly while the numbers for SN could be better, last week wasn't too bad, I am not that disapointed either...I mean sure, I would have been happier if they were higher but everyone knows its a tough timeslot and LOST has similar viewers to SN and at least SN is keeping somewhat stable numbers...all at this stage I am hoping for is that REAPER tanks when it airs in the SN timeslot...and that is nothing mean against REAPER, it just simply has to to show that comparatively SN is doing good...at least that's what I am thinking
Originally posted by Ratings Junkee: Pretty solid numbers for Lost. It looks like that show has rebounded from last Spring. With the writer's strike near an end, it looks likes possibly a whole season of Lost. Pretty impressed with Eli Stone too. I know the numbers went down from last week, but most shows that have led out of Lost seem to nosedive pretty fast. It beat LJ and won the demo. Let's see how week 3 is.
FOX held study with it's surprising combo of the year. Was hoping for that girl to win the million. Even I knew that question. DFTL did very well for a repeat and against the Donald. Did they already cancel Singing Bee?
NBC is in bad shape now. LJ just tanked. It did worse than I thought. I thought it would peak some interest with Brooke as the leading lady. I guess people are just waiting for the Sex and the City movie to come out. Why they renewed Celebrity Apprentice is beyond me. I'm so tired of Trump's ego. The show was good for 1-2 editions. It's just boring now.
CBS is back on the map with Survivor. CBS can't rely on that alone though. Jury is still out on BB9 and Jericho. I still say FOX will dethrone CBS this year as the most watched network. Who would of thought that 10 years ago. Pretty impressive.
Actually ES is fading faster than most of the new shows
Did better than Lipstick Jungle and Cashmere Mafia. What other new this spring is doing better than Eli Stone, other than Moment of Truth?
How is doing better than LJ when LJ only aired one episode? In terms of drops between the first and the second episode ES is doing worse than almost all new shows
Well, it already beat LJ, so that says something. Maybe some viewers went over to check out that show. Wonder how that will do next week. Let's see how next week pans out then.
Lipstick Jungle does not have a 15 million lead-in. In terms of retention LJ is doing better
Originally posted by KSO: ES will likely settle at 7-8 million. It can't last.
Lost lost over a million viewers from last week, while it is up from last season. It's not going in the right direction if it doesn't settle there. Getting 14 million next airing won't be good.
How could you expect Lost to hold all 16 mil? Last year it lost 2 mil from 3x01 to 3x02 (18mil to 16mil). Loosing 1 mil isn't bad at all. Next week it'll be high 14mil, or low to mid 15mil. It'll settle with the numbers it has now.
I enjoy Eli Stone, but the half hour drop isn't looking good.

SUPERNATURAL was excellent last night, a brilliant episode from start to finish. I suspect a LOT of folks are taping or DVRing it, and if they counted those numbers, it would equal or surpass SMALLVILLE, which was only OK last night. The episode left me so worked up, I couldn't sleep just thinking about it. I can't think of any other show that has such an effect on me. Robin, who hopes SUPERNATURAL goes on for many years to come

CBS was unlucky with the strike, Next season will return to the Number 1 spot
Noot sure what Luck (good or bad) has to do with it. CBS is holding its own with mostly repeats. Now, they start bringing out new content
- Survivor on Thursdays - Big Brother 3 Nights A week - Jericho - Dexter - The Grammy's this Sunday - March Madness for a 3 week period (10 Nights) in March/April - Plus, WTtC and Old Christine.

All that original programming does nothing compared with new episodes for CBS' top shows
Now I am new to this, so please don't laugh at me but is the number for viewers posted the final number? And if the DVDr numbers are also counting, when will the final numbers be then available?

The final numbers including DVR will be available in 3 weeks
I know the numbers are horrid. I just hope that next season, SN has a new timeslot. So Mushu, if you are reading this, I think it is about time to split up Smallville and Supernatural.

Peace!!
I definity agree, it's time for SN and Samllville to part, the only thing is that there is no other really good lead in for SN...right now Smallville is the only one that compares...but still...I wouldn't mind a change of timeslot...or could it maybe move to 8pm and replace Smallville?

Same reason it would replace the SN with the crappy Reaper. And tastes in shows really vary, because for me, Smallville is pretty crappy. But hey, to each his own.
