Same here, although to be quite honest, I have though the show was back to season one quality from the episode "Bang" last season on.
That was really the first episode I'd enjoyed since season one. And the quality has been going up since then. Maybe more people will give the show another chance.
Agreed. Although certain season two episodes still hold a special place in my heart. But, definitely it is the weakest season thus far even with only 3 episodes into our current season. I think (if this season holds up).it will be....season one, season four, season three, season two with the middle two going back and forth.
I also agree that last night's Desperate Housewives was the funniest ep in a while. I was a bit disappointed with the 1st 2 eps, but this one was superb.

NBC was just unfortunate to end up with the game that nobody cared about. CBS not only got gigantic numbers out of Cowboys/Pats, but 60 Minutes got a huge boost in the demo leading out of it.

CBS knew it would have the Patriots and Cowboys, both of which were already proven ratings draws. Obviously, the particular circumstance of both teams going undefeated into the game could not have been foreseen.

Yes, and just imagine what Pats/Colts will pull on Sunday, November 4th when both teams will probably still be unbeaten.

CBS is still doing the wiser thing by Launching VL out of CSI Thursday

I been watching the show since the first episode, and I've never once questioned why the characters don't age. They don't talk about what year it is very often, so its easy to assume this is all taking place in a single year or so. The show is as entertaining as it ever was. I hope it stays on the air for a long time to come.
Now if someone could please explain why Spider Man and Captain America don't age in Marvel comics despite time passing. Captain America was created during World War II, and he didn't age noticably at all up until his death within the last year.
Just embarrasing numbers for The CW. Nothing more to be said.

It’s a pity more viewers are not finding Life is Wild, which takes the traditional family drama and adds a new dimension by the on-location filming in South Africa. Before you close the door on it (and I had to label it a loser with ratings this low), keep in mind that it grew out of Online Nation by 447,000 viewers and 50 percent in the demo.
Or perhaps the demo just grew in real terms from 0.24 to 0.26 which wouldn't mean much at all. There's no way to know. When dealing with numbers as low and imprecise as 0.2 and 0.3, the percentage growth estimate can become wildly distorted from reality.

Tonight should be interesting with the arrival of SAMANTHA WHO...I've been looking forward to it as I love Christina Applegate and by chance Samantha is my favorite female name.
Anyone willing to predict the numbers for SAMANTHA? And do you think they will BEAT...the numbers for RULES?
It will probably beat Rules in viewers, but I doubt it will in demo with the older-skewing Dancing as its lead-in.

True, you couldn't have predicted it would be this big. On the other hand, it's not a stretch to predict thatthe Pats and Cowboys would be one of the bigger 4:15 games of the year, even without both teams being undefeated.
If the Pats and Colts keep winning CBS has a potential momster game on nov 4th at 4:15.

Exactly almost all people realize it is a cartoon and get it.

In fact, most of the ABC lineup did well, with the possibly exception of America's Funniest Video. I think the reason why the ratings were down is the fact that people are starting to get tired of the show.
And the fact that 25 million other people were watching football at the time.

I tend to agree with this. As great as the lead-in would've been last night, I don't think it's ever a good idea to launch a series premiere at an uncertain time. A lot of people tuning in at 8 probably would've tuned out.

It had better beat Rules. If it doesn't then ABC may have a big problem on their hands.
I also wonder how The Bachlor will do without DWtS directly leading into it.
I think Samantha Who? will debut to about 11-12 million viewers and a decent 2.8-3.1 demo. If the show is as funny as some are saying, it could do the same next week, or drop to around 7-9 and 2.5-2.7. We shall see.
I for one, am really looking forward to it. To be honest, more for Jean Smart than Applegate.
