CBS is wanting Michael Vick to run the show.

The Clock is ticking on your time to enter this season's game! You have until Monday, September 1st, 2008 to make your roster so just a few days remain to pick the 10 shows that you WANT to get canceled!

Marc, why are you so insistent that these dogs somehow have their feelings hurt by being voted off a gameshow?

Um, sure, but you are not a dog.
If you want to argue that a show like Big Brother should be taken off the air because it crushes the once in a lifetime dreams of the fragile minded people in the game, I might agree. However, I dont understand why you think that the dogs suffer from the same ambitions and crushed dreams. The dogs are just hanging out, just as if they went to obedience school. They don't know this is a TV show with a 'winner' and none of them are leaving the show feeling like losers.
I am sorry, but dogs are not people. They are innocent creatures that should not subject to this abuse.

No offense Marc, but although American Dog has been doing poorly in ratings and you didn't like the challenge in the show, to "swing the axe" on this show that's near its completion is precisely why new shows are constantly struggling. I'm glad CBS committed enough to the series to let it go through its run. When you decide to put it on the air, commit to it and if it fails, just don't renew it. Pulling the plug just upsets the viewers who decide to give these new series a shot.
Why didn't I watch a single episode of Sarah Connor, Pushing Daisies, or the now dead Bionic Woman? Why was I hesitant to even watch another season of "the Unit"? I'm not going to commit my time until I know it's going to be around. The best thing for networks to do is give regular non-reality series a set amount of episodes, COMMIT TO THEM, and tell them to film an alternate ending just in case they decide not to order more episodes or fail to renew, there is some closure to those who tuned in. Reality shows, same thing.. at least you know there's closure.. if you want to put it to death, throw it on Saturdays if need be. Just let them have closure.
I don't need to tune in to watch the first episode of Smith only to have it immediately cancelled. I may as well wait for the DVD set to come out if it survives a full season right? If networks want live or even DVR viewership, they MUST commit to what they are putting on or else everyone will wait for their commercial-free DVD's next year.

Michelle was evicted. Keesha won HOH and nominated Jerry and Ollie. Dan won POV and left it the same. Ollie was evicted by a vote of 3-0. The next HOH will be shown Sunday.
Top 20 Markets (& Indianapolis) : Overnight Household Ratings-Primetime Wednesday, August 27
I'm seeing an interesting trend for Indy. We have, by far, been the strongest market for AGT the last two days. We were also one of the strogest markets for the Olympics.
It makes me wonder... its it the programs or is Indy HOT for NBC Shows?
I completely agree. When I said "swing the axe," I meant after the season ends. I always say if a network puts a show on the air it needs to run the episodes, no matter how poorly it is doing. Even few fewers are some viewers, and they have made a commitment.

There has to be a limit, though. Shows like CBS's Viva Laughlin or FOX's Nashville can't be allowed to stink up 13 weeks of airtime. Obviously, summer programming will get more leeway for low ratings (especially if up against the Olympics), but there still needs to be some point at which networks give up and shift the show off broadcast TV and just air the rest of the episodes online.
