I can't believe no one mentioned how well Celebrity Apprentice did last night - considering the huge growth, this has to be one of its best outings this season. Great total viewers, great demo - NBC will have no problem renewing this for next season. The show is really getting funnier and funnier, and Joan Rivers is just about making it a one-woman show-LOL. Her little "feud" with Annie is funnier than Piers and Omarosa.
For the return, not too bad ratings for Desperate Housewives, by the time it gets to the season finale, ratings will be back up to 15 million+ again. Brothers and Sisters, though, is having retention issues again. Will ABC have to start airing a 2-hour movie for this show every month just to keep ratings up or what?

Considering it went up against much tougher competition this week with DH and B&S both airing new episodes, I'd say it was an above average performance for Celebrity Apprentice. One could argue that the competition from CBS was weaker because of the Hallmark special, but at least as far as total viewers are concerned, it wasn't too far off. Either way, the fact that this show is performing as well as it is with C-List celebrities at best is a testament to Trump's ability to make good tv. Seeing Piers Morgan back this past week brought back many hilarious memories from last year (Busting out Vinny as a double agent, classic back and forths with Omarosa, and using Lennox Lewis' celebrity up until he was of no use to Piers anymore). Also, the episode was stacked with two elminations. I look for next week's numbers to drop dramatically in the first hour up against DH with most likely no elimination taking place until the second half of the show. If NBC wasn't so pathetic right now, they'd be able to cut this and Biggest Loser down at the very least to an hour and a half and the overall ratings for both show would increase dramatically.

How I wish it were that simple. Unfortunately, the mainstream press has now taken to covering these trashy shows and the vapid famewhores who populate them, as if they were actual news.
I must admit that I would definitely tune it for "King Lear as interpreted by E"

That was my point exactly. it was up against much tougher competiton from both Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters. It's lead-in was also weak again this week, which only makes its performance look better. Overall, it seems to be right on par with last season. I wonder if the finale will draw 12 million again, though. If it goes up against DH's finale, I highly doubt it.

Will this reality crap never end?
Well, didn't King Lear (the one with Ian McKellan and possibly full-frontal nudity) just air on local PBS affiliates?
And aren't E's ratings up this year due in part to the Kardashians and the usually funny Chelsea Handler show?
Nice mention of a brain tumor, gee I wonder which character that was directed at But really, do we need a CSI film, especially since all 3 series are still on the air? I guess that it will be pretty profitable but still.
