A light-sabred spike in the Nielsens, SPIKE did get from their first Star Wars trilogy weekend:

The next trilogy unfolds, on this weekend upcoming.
The right corner of my mouth is uncontrollably twitching from seeing that the epic showdown between Revenge of the Sith and Return of the King culminated in a win by Rock of Love 2. It's like that Stewie-versus-Underdog-for-Coca-Cola commercial. Which was awesome, by the way.

Point of order--I said I looked forward to making fun of SCC's braindead fans.
So you look forward to making fun of people? That's a bleak outlook. Having read that you make me feel even better about my own life. If someone looks forward to making fun of people that person is kinda pathetic, wouldn't you think?
People who deserve it, sure. You know, like Bush supporters?

That's a bleak outlook.
It's a happy attitude. That's why they call it 'making fun'. As opposed to people like you, who make boring stick-up-the-ass moral statements they don't really believe in.

Which is obviously so full and rich, judging by your posts here.

Ask Keith Olbermann and Jon Stewart.
quote:
I actually feel sorry for you.
Just as long as you aren't 'dissapointed' in me.
Is that your comeback? LMAO, you "dissapoint" me, c'mon, you can do better than that! First, it's not a happy attitude, it's a negative attitude. You should know that of all people. I believe in moral attitude so don't speak on my behalf, just speak for yourself. My life not being full and rich because I spend ONE afternoon here, a bit lame to conclude that and that's an understatement. Especially from someone who spends most of their time here and isn't that demeaning to the people who come here daily to discuss numbers like grown-ups, unlike you. As for the spelling, why would I have to be perfect in english if you can already understand my words with ease? Next time, come up with something better. "You wouldn't want me to "win" in your own language now would you?

Further data has been released on just how well the SPIKE unspooling of Star Wars: First Trilogy did this past weekend, especially versus TNT's cablecasting of the Lord of the Rings trilogy as counterprogramming.
The Star Wars trilogy triumphed over the Rings trilogy on each of the three nights in viewers, while the light-sabre battle between the two cult fantasy scifiers was much closer in the A18-49 demographic.
According to Nielsen:
Friday: Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace (SPIKE) -2.0HH, 2.800 million viewers, 1.1 A18-49 VS Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring (TNT) -1.4HH, 1.900 million viewers, 0.7 A18-49
Saturday: Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones (SPIKE) -2.4HH, 3.300 million viewers, 1.2 A18-49 VS. Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (TNT) -1.4HH, 1.980 million viewers, 0.8 A18-49
Sunday: Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (SPIKE) -3.0HH, 4.200 million viewers, 1.4 A18-49 Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (TNT) -2.9HH, 4.000 million viewers, 1.1 A18-49
Friday to Sunday: Star Wars Trilogy: -averaged 2.5HH, 3.460 million viewers, 1.4 A18-49 VS. Lord of the Rings Trilogy: -averaged 1.9HH, 2.700 million viewers,
The Sunday world broadcast and cable premiere of Revenge of the Sith was the all-time highest-rated movie in SPIKE's history and was ad-supported cable's top-performing film of the year for M18-49 (1.49 million).

Who the hell still calls anti-Italian comments "racist"? (not that pisher did that by the way) Are Irish-American an oppressed New England minority too?
pisher is the reason some threads reach 200+ comments, you should thank him for being so active in this forum. He is the AI Simon of pifeedback (minus the outrageous salary).

I'm very confused. Star Wars was a popular movie series, wasn't it? How come dumont likes it? dumont, you need to champion the MNTV version of the Star Wars saga: a little movie called Wizards. It came out in theaters a few months before Star Wars, had similar family drama, and similar good (little guy) vs. evil (empire) plotlines.
