Does anyone know if this was a above or below par NCAA performance?
Eh, i'm just glad it's over... i'm waiting for CBS entire lineup to have sub-30 Rock demo numbers tonight.

Why would it have that? NCIS returns with new eps. That will boost Big Brother slightly and I don't see Secret Talents of the Stars doing any worse than Jericho in the demo.

Have the ever just used live ratings as the standard?
Live ratings were the standard before VCR came along.
Thanks, I was thinking that was the logic point to start it, but I honestly didn't know.

Well, Cold Case couldn't break above 30 Rock's average in it's two weeks back... NCIS isn't much stronger... I guess stranger things have happened, but it wouldn't be by much, that's for sure. As for BB and STOTS, I doubt it. Secret Talents is dead in the water before it airs, i predict.

Yea, like thats going to happen. With a new NCIS, it usually pulls close to a 4.0 in the demo, even going up against AI. Could see a bump for BB9 and who knows what Secret Talents will bring. SToTS looks like a dog, but you never know with reality TV. quote: Originally posted by the128boy: Does anyone know if this was a above or below par NCAA performance?

Hey pisher, I totally agree with you about SCC and NA, but try holding off on calling their fans stupid and braindead. quote: Originally posted by pisher: quote: Lol, how could that be since you lose every argument you participate in.
Really? Veronica Mars, Drive, What About Brian, and Studio 60 have all been renewed? Gadzooks! What a catastrophic reversal of fortune! Seriously, how long have you been here? I'll concede defeat on SCC if it gets through a whole second season, then gets renewed for a third. A show getting renewed after a 9 ep season, in the wake of a strike, is nothing to brag about. And getting to poke fun at its braindead fans for a few more months next season, and to watch their heads explode as its ratings implode--gee, I'd call that a win-win.

I'm very pleased. NA, one of my favourites this season is showing growth, and may have hope of being saved. Medium, a show I gave up on in its second season but made a creative comeback is also winning more fans. Keep this up, and it'll beat CSI Miami someday.

Not to mention incredibly immature and juvenile. quote: Originally posted by MizuNoHane: Hey pisher, I totally agree with you about SCC and NA, but try holding off on calling their fans stupid and braindead. quote: Originally posted by pisher: quote: Lol, how could that be since you lose every argument you participate in.

Point of order--I said I looked forward to making fun of SCC's braindead fans. If by chance, there are some fans of that show who are not braindead--that is to say, who see it as the lightweight piece of fluff that it is, and enjoy it on that level, without treating it like a defeat for western culture that its ratings keep falling--I certainly will not be making fun of them. As to 'immature and juvenile', well, pretty much all online fans of TV shows fall into that category. Can't do much about that.

You've never really grokked that I always spell my name with a lower-case 'p', have you TV-boy?

On the west coast, the game ended a little before 9, followed by post-game talk, and BBT at 10 on the dot, so it's pretty impossible that there was overlap there. quote: Originally posted by RoyBoyCF: Those CBS numbers mean nothing. In the Mountain Time Zone, NCAA took up most, if not all, of prime time, and on the West Coast, the end of the game was in the 8pm hour. I don't normally make it a point to check the finals, but I will for this.

I do believe that rare phenomenon known as positive word-of-mouth is furiously at work for both series, and that is why they are now showing unexpected surges in both viewers and demo.

Come join the fun and play the PI Feddback Challenge Daily Game. Guess the Ratings for a different show each day. Just follow the instruction from the image link on the right. Todays show will feature the series premiere of "Secret Talent of the Stars" How good, or total bad, will it do in total viewers and in the 18-49 Demo?

Looking at the ratings, New Amsterdam is sure to be picked up. It grew out of House and is now in the mid 2 demos. FOX usually keeps things in the mid 2's. As I said before, it is destined for Friday greatness. Not shocking, out of all FOX's strike fillers, this was the only one of quality and promise.
