In any event, I say they BOTH should be canceled. I'm a CONSISTENT hater. You're a hypocritical hater.
Hint when you want to compare two shows: don't take the lowest ratings of the season for one and use it for your analysis. SCC has always been above 3.0 in the demo except for this one episode you "selected", and averaged about 3.5, even without including its post-football premiere.
So no, NA is not comparable at all to SCC yet. It needs to improve in the demo to get a second season. Be more objective, and perhaps you won't be the only one surprised when SCC is renewed.

Actually that makes sense. The game didnt really get under way til almost 930 anyway so I could see people switching over once DWTS was over. And I agree Medium's numbers qualify it as a winner

Honestly I'm still ticked at the "fans" that abandoned the show after DANCING wrapped up last time.
And where did the fans go this time...I can't imagine DANCING's audience switching over to watch basketball on CBS?

hmmm... perhaps 30 rock has more true fans than samantha?
i know a few brains exploded out there somewhere...
but its season average demo is 2.9... which i believe is slightly higher than samantha's post dancing numbers...
I have a question that I would love an awnser to. Have we always used live plus same day as teh default ratings for shows, or is that something that is newer.
Have the ever just used live ratings as the standard?
Wow, Big Bang Theory really took advantage of the pre-NCAA finals anticipation, didn't it? Too bad they didn't air an all-new episode of HIMYM instead of 2 1/2 so it could continue to build its momentum from the post-Britney hype. Question for anyone: isn't ten and a half million on the higher end of BBT's first-run numbers?

Also, I (what do you do after someone has already seconded something? Third? N'ed?), uh, agree that Medium should also be labeled a winner. Those are the best numbers I've seen for that series in a long time, and going up against the finale of the NCAA Championship, as well as the post-strike, Dancing-fueled (albeit disappointing) return of Samantha Who?, no less. Plus, it was the highest-rated show NBC had on its roster last night, which...never happens.

Exactly, TSCC weakest episode ratingswise still bests NA best in the last few weeks. But you can't take pisher and John T. Folden seriously. First of all John, how could you side with someone like him, dissapointing. Secondly, both are very biased. Pisher started bashing the SCC even before it aired because he has a thing for Summer Glau. He bashed her before it aired but secretly he has a crush on her. You know how little boys react when they have a crush, they lash out. T Folden has a a NA website running so it's in his best interest the show continues regardless if it's bad or not.
I'm guessing that # is basketball, not BBT viewers. Finals will give us a better picture.

Nice uptick in ratings for New Amsterdam, with an episode sure to bring people back for next week's season finale.

repeats of The Big Bang Theory (Viewers: #2, 10.21 million; A18-49: #2, 3.6/11) and Two and a Half Men (Viewers: #2, 12.35 million; A18-49: #2, 4.4/12) . Nice for those two shows!
Expect each of these to lose 2+ million viewers and 0.5 demo in finals.
not to mention what can safely be assumed to be a significantly higher production budget for SCC.
This has never been proven.
The showrunner was quoted as saying their budget is fairly average. Of course some people immediately screamed he was saying that to "try to save his show," but I have a hard time believing that that comment somehow masks FOX to the actual amount they spend for the series, thus aiding in renewal. It makes little sense for him to lie about something like that.
FOX gets much better demo numbers with SCC and my guess is they'll likely retool a little if they end up renewing it. As for NA, it's shown potential and I can see FOX renewing it and trying to nurture it.
